Description
0 (Zero) or formally known as 'The Other' in my fan comic!THIS IS THE CHARACTER I'VE KEPT SO WELL HIDDEN AWAY FOR ALL THESE YEARS!! I CAN'T BELIEVE I FINALLY FINISHED THIS THING!! And now you all can see him for the very first time
0 is a plot device character I created for my 6 part fan prequel to Shane Acker's full length movie '9' based on his animated short of the same name. 0 was created as an experiment by an apprentice to the scientist from the movie, an apprentice the scientist used to relay information to the outside world while the two worked together to figure out a way to 'save the world' from the terrible destructive machines they'd created. 0's story centers almost entirely around 1 and 11 seeing as he actually loses his life before my story initially begins (the comic I created follows the story of my OC 11 and her past as well as the mention of 0 would have occurred in a series of flashbacks and memory dialogue between from 1 and 2 who initially were the only once who knew about 0.) 0 doesn't have a 'purpose' like the average stitchpunk does because he is the '1' of his clan (11 technically being the '2') 0 and 1 worked together before the others arrived, relaying messages back and forth between the scientist and his apprentice who were both deep in hiding. When the apprentices hide out was attacked (during a bomb raid at the time when 1 and his new gang had to escape and move out from their current place of hiding) 0 returns to his 'creator' to find him dead and in his place a small, child like stitchpunk with no number. 0 takes her under his wing after he's separated from 1 and teaches her how to survive in their desolate world.
Some time later 0 is captured and killed by the cat beast, which sets 11 on her journey in search of 'the 1 who leads,' as directed by a written note left in 0's old orange pouch. 0's final mission (the mission he fails to complete and is left to 11 to unknowingly complete was in fact to deliver the talisman for soul transfer back to the scientist, as the apprentice died in his attempt to bring 11 to life) The objective of the story was to explain how 1 got his bell and staff. 1 and 0 were close, dear friends, working partners, and during one of their excursions together they found these 2 Christmas bells they decided to hold onto so they could hear each other as they approached so not to fear attack from beasts or strangers. when 0 is killed, 11 unconsciously takes up the burden of the bell and delivers her teacher's legacy to 1 (i.e. the talisman in the orange pouch). In the time she spends with the others she learns about who they are, where they came from, how she came to be, what her connection to all of them is and why she's there to begin with. Her ultimate purpose was to complete 0's mission and in the process reunited the 2 clans one last time (hence her purpose 'To Unite Us') and allowing the scientist to ultimately bring his last creations to life. 11's number is not that she is the 11th member of the stitchpunk troop but in fact symbolic of her purpose to unite the first '1's. 11 represents the bond of 0 and 1 and, for better or worse, is also the last of her clan all together.
In the original story, 11 is the first sacrifice to the cat beast when the bombs start again. She is given up to save the rest of the group and it is this action that chases 7 away from the group and shortly after the twins who decide to leave as well. 11 is the one who prompts 6's visions, by bringing with her the talisman (which in the story only 1 really knows what it's for, sort of) used in the soul division process. The finale of the story ends with 11's sacrifice, the bell that belonged to 1 is crushed and no longer works, symbolic of the severing of the tie between the 2 clans (I'm calling them clans because 0 and 11 come from a different soul.) when the others begin to part from the group 1's final action before moving the group to their permanent location in the church (where the movie starts) is to lay to rest the final memories of the past, of 0 and of 11. He personally delivers the talisman to the scientist and leaves, never to see him again. He takes with him the remaining bell which initially belonged to 0, found in the orange pouch 11 carried and fastens it to a staff. He dons his 'movie attire' and the final moment is of him leading the remaining group away from the danger and to 'safety' for their survival and thus the entire story was meant to end.
literally my story ends with BOTH my OC's dying before the movie ever begins and before 9 is even freaking born. 9 is the ONLY character in the movie that never meets my OC. that's honestly part of the reason why I never drew 9 with 11. it just didn't make sense XD But 0's importance to my story lays in the legacy he left behind which basically defines 11's character entirely. It was a simple concept that became so loaded with garble that I just couldn't finish the entire story alone and once I'd moved on I didn't bother refining it at the end. I love my OC's though, they hold a special place in my heart, as does this movie so I figured it was about time I shared that last bit of important detail about my comic that sadly never made it into the comic itself. ^^
I hope you all can forgive me for being such a terrible flake when it comes to my own work, and I hope you can still like my characters even though this is so way over due....

no not really. When I first drew stitchpunks I simplified it down to easy recognizable shapes. the skeleton of the stitchpunk is mostly a stick figure with claws. the head is an upside down egg, the body kind of the shape of a right side up eggplant, the arms are normal human shaped and thickness (as arms go) and the legs can really be as thin or thick as you like. the feet, because there's no need for toes, are just elongated half ovals. (the flat half on the floor) the eyes are 2 round circle goggles and the hands a square piece of wood with those claws from before

Have fun!
I made a stithpunk OC once... he uses a sword and shield, but he's more of a scout than a fighter.... number was 413, "to Scout for Us

that's super cool 8D I have a love for scout type characters. they're so sneaky and can get outta the craziest situations X3 My old OC was 11 'to unite us' but it's been years since I've been part of the fandom ^^" 0 is just the character I had created for my comic story but never introduced him until now.

I think I uploaded a picture and crude bio of him somewhere... He's sort of a combo between my Dragonborn, who likes to use a sword and shield and TF2 Scout.

That's what Google is for. Duh.
Skyrim's fairly straight-forward, though I was delighted to see I could modify the controls to my preferences!

Oooh, I really like the design! You can really tell this was a very early design of the stitchpunk.
Poor 9, being left out of everything.

hahaha yeah, well he won't be completely left out. He'll get to see all of them, even 0 and 11 at the very end when he releases the souls at the end of the movie I had a short comic of that finale, in fact, to sort of show 0, 11 and 1 being reunited once more at the very end and lifting up into the sky together ^^ It's somewhere in my big book of scribbles haha
