I really like the design of the Power Rangers 2017 film. All the texture and detail it has is just... Unnnf.

But yeah, spent months modifying a Genji model I got from here. Did some heavy research on the texture for the armor and discovered that it resembles circuitry, while the finish is basically a marble surface. I tried to get the texture and 'gel' layer over said texture but grew a liking to the texture just exposed. Undersuit is whatever for me, sure it's a unique pattern but I knew there was nothing out there would be available to download, so I just used some random rock normal map. Works good for me. Helmet itself is a heavily modified Sentai helmet from DOA, it's on this site somewhere. But yeah, model went through a lot of modifications, mostly the helmet. I just recently added some new details onto the suit, stretched out some mass onto him too.

Anyway, I wasn't going for an exact replica, more like an inspiration kind of design.

The artwork itself is based off this poster .

It was a lot more difficult than I originally believed, but I tried my best. Also had to make the condensed PR logo. I thought of going all out with it but decided to not cause I saw all the immense detail it had.

Model ported by Sticklove , while the sentai helmet is ported by Wakind . Extensive modifying of the model was done by yours truly.

[Update: January 1st, 2017, after some observation on the picture, noticed how the chest area was too large and that the forearms looked oddly bent. I resized the chest and fixed the arms up.]

Anywho, decided to implement this armor into da OC's story since he's in space already, so anything can happen!

While roaming around the caverns of a planet, Nikolai and crew encounter a beast known as Serris, a serpent like hydra equipped with an advance technology based armor. Upon hours of battling said creature, the team finally defeat it. Curiosity grows to Nikolai and he approaches Serris, only to have its remains latch onto him, devouring his flesh and replace itself with its armor. An hour later of sheer pain, Nikolai now dons a new piece of armory.

Desta then explains that the armor itself originates many centuries ago of this planet, used by the soldiers to fend off any monster that dared to disrupt the peace of its kingdom. The abilities of object manipulation allow the user to personalize the armor in aesthetic and practical terms, even creating weaponry of any kind. Such ability can only be manifested from the user's sheer will, which luckily enough our Hero lives off of will. Although, it has been said that the armor consumes off the user's internals as an energy source for this power, because of this enormous drawback, all soldiers only lived for very little years.

But because our Hero is forced to never meet death, this defect was removed once it was discovered. Instead, the suit can be manifested from it's Stonecore that rests at the center of his waist whenever. After learning how to properly activate the armor, a helmet was made in order to couple with the armor.

Even with the flaws removed, Nikolai rarely wears the armor unless the situation given requires it.
