Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that cliched "If you don't like it, why did you click on it" spiel. I know you clicked on it precisely to voice your opinions on the matter. Everyone is free to voice their opinions, whether positive or negative.
However, that also means people are free to dislike your opinion, and find you an idiot for being so stuck up about how to draw this, and I repeat, FICTIONAL CHARACTER.

When drawing a fictional character, you should try to still be accurate with their design, or else, it really isn't the same character, no matter how hard you try. This isn't peridot.

Unless you're TRYING to portray the character as closely to the show as possible, then there is no issue in deviating from the norm and experimenting. It's called "artistic liberty", and is something you should look into. If someone wants to portray the character a little differently, by all means, let them.
Let's get to the heart of the real issue, however. Why exactly do you hate this portrayal of Peridot so much? I'm not talking physically, I'm talking why the idea of a curvy Peridot with a rack bothers you.

I understand that it's creepy to see a character you love being fetishized, but you have to remember, not everybody is like you. Not everybody is going to think the same way you do about Peridot, and you're gonna have to learn to accept that. You can't just go around saying that you think this is wrong and you wantΒ it changed just because you don't like it. Other people do, and you have to understand that. Β
To address your second point, "sexualizing someone who doesn't need to be", well, that's about it. It's not about NEED, it's about WANT. People WANT to draw this stuff, and in the case of this being a commission, people WANT this stuff drawn for them.Β
