Phineas sprinted around a corner, where he almost bumped straight into a very tall teenager, who was standing in the hallway. He locked wide-eyed gazes with him for a second, before Phineas’ open mouth frowned, and he tripped backwards over his feet.

“Who…? Who…?” Phineas started, attempting to hobble back up from the floor. He stumbled on his hands and knees as he was overcome with fright, and headed back around the corner again, towards the steps.

Poor Phineas found a terrifying strange teenager in his house... and he happens to have green hair.

And I don't think that just having green hair would make Phineas recognize him. Teenagers and ten-year-olds look a lot different.
