i don't usually enter dtiys contests but i really really loved the original drawing and thought it'd be really fun to do my own version! i don't draw roses often and i really like petra's design, plus i couldn't refuse the opportunity to show off my gold rendering.
but now i'm regretting this a bit because this took almost 4 hours and i was supposed to be working on a custom.. :sob:

i think i went a bit overboard with the shading, esp on the ears.. ahgh ;;' and i forgot to fix the opacity for the shading on the horns and now it's all merged so i can't fix it,,
