Wishful thinking, maybe? Started sketching this, really went somewhere with it. They're just...living. I hope we end up with something like this.Sokka caught a rare chameleonfish. He is very happy because Zuko sucks so hard at fishing. What a bad sport...
Katara is trying to pick that little flower...for who? I'd say for Aang, but that's just my opinion XD
And Aang expresses his disgruntlement at his friends not getting along. He's going to have to play the peacemaker again, isn't he?

This looks like an illustration from a book about fairytales, really. the colors are just... amazingly well choosen and their results are stunning. Rainbow effects!! 8D
Besides the anatomy of the characters *aswell as their expressions* is amazingly well done, and has a glint of childness *which increases the 'fairytale-looking' yeah). And everything is so bright!! <3

I really love the current and how varied the colors are, and it seems so comfortable looking, watching it gradiate into a soft white in the background <3
I also love that ONE ROCK that has that WHITE on its top for some reason. Heeheehhehehe.
Great body language that you gave everyone, too--that is the BEST Zuko pout in the universe. And Sokka is just... yes. Zuko has been owned.

I have a few things to critique, though, like Zuko's bucket-- very bizarre elipses there, top and bottom, *I'd have to draw an example to illustrate effectively how to make it look better and then point shit out. WOO THE BEATINGS OF MY DRAWING TEACHER THAT HE GAVE ME DURING CLASS ARE STUCK TO ME*
Since it's so bright and soft outside, I think that they could use some more shadows, since while the entire drawing is very comfortable, it's lacking a sense of depth in some areas, including basic landscape elements. (Although I am very much taken to liking your depiction of landscape in this!! Very playful and with good spacial relations)
I think that there is something a bit off with the back of Zuko's head.. and the way that his neck connects to his shoulders, it looks kind of like it's just been stuck there, instead of having a suggested or defining edge indicating that his neck isn't coming out of his shoulders. Like that... muscle area between the neck and the shoulders.
While I adore the sky, since there is so much value transition on the bottom part of the composition, leaving the sky the same all around makes the same rather inactive--it may be more interesting if you had a transition in the sky from dark to light as well--like in contrast to the land, the sky is darkest near the horizon and lightest in the foreground, so to speak. (Also playing the same effect for the clouds could turn out looking neat, too.) I also think that perhaps, with values, you can direct the viewer's eye in specific places of interest--while Sokka and Zuko are definately the stars of this drawing, I think that it may be more interesting if you also played with hierarchy in other parts of the composition as well.
The hair on Sokka's head that's pulled back should contrast to his buzz as darker and more than likely a different tone and color.
Overall, I am totally pleased to see this, and I LUUURRVE what you did with the idea.
And I am still baffled to see that Sokka is not getting his ass kicked by a fish <3
