Ah, just realised you actually have a newer version, but didn't need it anyway! Might be worth editing the description of this one with a link to the new one, as this was the one that came up in a Google search for "cinema 4d depth of field"…

Even though this tutorial is 3 years old, and uses an older C4D, I managed to use this to get a perfect DOF effect. And I thank you for that. It was a pain in the ass to make the DOF in Photoshop

Thank you

Well I do wish to learn about light settings, either it becomes dark or too much hard, If i try to adjust intensity it still remails hard but then only fall on one object
I want a normal light to fill the room not dark not too bright to make all objects white.
Please can you guide me in that?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SoltisViolin In reply to creativezone [2006-08-18 01:32:59 +0000 UTC]

Yes, if I understand you correctly... ok, first.. if you're making all the objects white, you need to make a material that is white, without color, so (uncheck anything other then Color in the Attribute material menu), then, depending on how you want your surrounding, you will also need to apply that material to it... then with the light, did you want shadows?

Also, could you show me an example of what you are talking about? so I further understand what you are needing help with.

Thank you,
John

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

creativezone In reply to SoltisViolin [2006-08-18 13:06:12 +0000 UTC]

whats SN ?
Yes I do have a aim, I want to do Interior desigining just like in interoro designing section of 3D in DA, and car modeling and also some wallpapers like [link] & [link]

If I can get a good hand on C4D then I will go for bryce if I can find a demo version somehow .... and also exploring Poser 6 as well and combustion too. if I manage to understand all these then I may go for MAX for professional use.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SoltisViolin In reply to creativezone [2006-08-20 02:52:37 +0000 UTC]

no don't go for Bryce, trust me, if you're already at C4D, it's better to learn this layout compared to bryce, it's very odd in it's GI, don't... just trust me.

creativezone In reply to SoltisViolin [2006-08-20 03:15:49 +0000 UTC]
