u gave 3 link to convert to icon , but i dun know which is to convert to your this kind of file ...
and i dun know how to do it

when you download them it will have three files ICNS, ICO and PNG click ICO that has the icons in it there is no need to convert them.
to apply them I go to your computers user name(above documents on the main menu on windows)> my picture > right click the folder you want to change > properties > customize > change icon > find file then apply.
