Thanks! Though, every time I look at this, I can't help but notice that car on the right side of the street. It's facing the wrong way! Oh well.

Wonderful! I really like how the viewer looks at the scene from the shadow of the bridge, it makes the picture look very real

SolutionNyne In reply to Heyriel [2011-07-02 20:48:18 +0000 UTC]
Thanks! For the longest time, the image actually extended upwards another 25% or so past the top of the bridge and into the skyline.
I went back and forth about leaving it in or cutting it out, and in the end I went with this because it seemed to frame it a lot better.

Thanks! I almost went with a bluish color tone, but I think this works better.

this is exquisite. may I ask where you learned to draw like this? art school or self teaching?

SolutionNyne In reply to derfuchsbaronin [2011-05-03 18:29:09 +0000 UTC]
Thanks! All self-teaching. Last actual art class I had was in 9th grade and it was hardly informative, nor had anything to do with any of the techniques I use on anything ever. lol

This is good for me to hear. I've always thought that if I can't go to art school I will never get good.
Thanks for the inspiration. x

That's great to hear, as well!
Art schools I'm sure are great and very helpful, but if you have the ambition, you can certainly make some amazing things all on your own.

Thanks! In retrospect, I kinda wish I had added more emphasis on the older + future stuff. But perhaps I can do that in another piece.
