Hay! I just looked up Frank Auerbach (I was unfamiliar) That man really knows how to move the paint around the canvas. The shapes and motion in his works are quite nice. Thanks for informing me.
The Femto like guy is the phantom, from Phantom of the Paradise (old movie) Look him up, he looks great.

I used to be obsessed with him, I stole all of the reproductions in my life drawing room at college.
He has his floorboards replaced every so often in his studios from several inches of paints accumulating.
Just had a butcher's at the phantom and it looks amazing! Must research into further....

Dude, usually people have some sort of "medium" they work best with-- opacitic brushes or just straight up hard pixels.
