Here he is, finally finished! ^_^.This was a commission I did for . With a clay mixture of Kato Polyclay and Premo, I sculpted pretty much everything from head to toe on top of a ML Captain Marvel. The left hand was taken from a ML Ripclaw and modified a bit. The sword and sheath were also sculpted from scratch with the same clay mixture. The sword doesn't exactly fit into the sheath so I made a half sword that fits into the sheath. The concept art I based it on wouldn't really have the sword fit into the sheath correctly but I was trying to be as true to the design as much as possible.

How durable is the clay mixture? I might use it in future customs since sculpting with Apoxie is tough (due to the time limit)

Pretty durable. If you do it right, it basically bakes into plastic. Once it's all cool, you can bend it and everything to an extent.

oh, bakes? How'd you get it to stick to the figure after baking it? Or...did you bake it with the figure..inside the oven? If so, wouldn't it melt that way?

I baked it with the figure. Suprisingly it didn't melt but it might be a lucky first time. I can say that the joints kind of loosened up but I was able to tighten it up again with the super glue method. Yes there is some give to this clay. If done right, you can actually bend it in half without it breaking.
