This was a commissioned logo for a Sonic.exe FNF mod titled "Sonic.exe: Anniversary," intending to try and finalize the remainder of the V3 update.
My inspiration for this logo was mainly the extremely airbrushed drawings of Sonic.exe shown back in the day ie. I AM GOD picture. I wanted to merge his proportions to be more similar with the Classic design as well, so Sonic 1 artwork and concept art were used to help conceptualize this logo. (notably the actual artwork for the title screen)
I also wanted to emphasize how the demon in Sonic.exe is hijacking the original game so the VS. and the EXE title glitch in with some notable sprites being seen within one of those texts.
A small detail you may barely notice is the addition of the Hidden Palace Sonic design where he's depicted as a humanoid angel creature. I thought this would be a neat way to show Sonic.exe's hypothetical "real form" before taking on the identity of Sonic.
