Tried a rather different approach with this i learned from YouTube. Kept the pencil lines and colored it in by creating a layer on top of the scanned image and changing the mode of the layer to multiply and coloring it in that way. Not sure if i am going to keep to this new method or not.Related content

I honestly think that this method is better because you have decently shaped lines and it's not too difficult to color in as well.
