Instead of "FRIENDS" this alternate universe has "INSOMNIA CAFE", which was one of the working titles for the series, along with "FRIENDS LIKE THESE", which I actually thought about making but figured it's not different enough to warrant it.

I figured the alternate show was not as successful because of it's title and was more niche than it's counterpart.
If I was to use some of the alternate ideas suggested at TVTROPES, I would say: Chandler came out as gay, and Joey and Monica hooked up.
For the regular universe cast, Matthew Perry's "LAX 2194" TV series had a thirteen episode order and was then cancelled, Jennifer Aniston's TV series "Muddling Through" lasted for two seasons and was then cancelled, Lisa Kudrow continued playing Ursula on "Mad About You" (who was not a twin in this universe), David Schwimmer returned to Chicago to become a theatre actor, Courtney Cox continued with film roles like her supporting role in "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective", and Matt Le Blanc was there too. IDFK.
