So the academy decided to host a prom (out of high demand by the students), and a certain ' Slifer slacker', namely Jaden Yuki, could care less about getting a date, regardless of all of his friends around them scrambling to get one. His friends were determined, however, to find him a good match and set them up to go together.
They eventually decided on Jaden's best friend, Jesse, as he just happened to show up at the most unfortunate time when they had listed off the already 'taken' students.
Though reluctant and unsure at first, the bluenette agreed and escorted a sullen Jaden to the prom.
While there, they actually began to have fun (of course they always enjoy each others company but this 'date' their friends set up between them was a bit awkward).
After dancing terribly to a boat load of fast pace songs, a melodic love song started to play and caused the duo to stand in awkward silence as the rest of the room proceeded to waltz.
"...May I... have this dance?" Jesse asked his hesitant brunette friend.

"...You know this is a slow song... right? We'd have to get pretty close to each other..."
Jaden shyly pointed out.
Jesse nodded in understatement and lead the Slifer student into his embrace to dance.

Jaden was, for some reason, blushing furiously. Unknown of his true feelings for the bluenette duelist. He dismissed it as feeling overheated from the many lights surrounding them, though he suddenly felt a warm touch on his cheek.
He looked to his side to realize it was his dance partner, Jesse, kissing him lovingly.

After the heart racing action, the two neither spoke nor kept their gaze off of each other... It was like they didn't even need words to communicate anymore they were now so in sync...

That night was undoubtedly the best night they both ever had...
