This is one of 10 of my photos that are being voted on for top prize in a contest of
Afghanistan photography hosted by NATO and I need your vote. The top
prize includes more than a THOUSAND dollars worth of camera gear. While the military has been wonderful to me in training and equipping me to shoot these photos, legally I can't use their equipment for other paid projects. Public voting plays a big part in the final results
so please share the link, every vote an image gets helps.
The 10 photos were taken while I was with Weapons and Bravo Company,
24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, in Helmand Province back in 2008.

thanks, its actually done in camera. I started playing around with the in-camera settings (color, saturation, tone, contrast) and on this patrol i pushed the settings to the extremes to see what they would look like.
Im rather proud of how it came out, thanks again.

I like this photograph, the colors are very gray and give a feeling of fatigue and weariness, and also one of war.
