I've been wanting to draw Red Robin for a while now, and after finishing reading Batman and Robin new 52 it just simply had to be done!
Tim Drake is pretty bad arse and just wanted to draw a picture focusing purely on bringing out his character. I tried the shading technique that I used on my Stephanie Brown picture and wanted to see if I could recreate the same affect I was going to draw a city background but didn't want to draw that away from the character, so I just added the moon in with a dark sky. Hope you all like!

Pretty Damn AWESOME.!! Especially since it reminds me of a comic book style work ahah which is classic but it's just the background that kills it for me , just cuz it looks like you got lazy or were just satisfied with only him. I would recommend to just have it all pitch black maybe with some grey brush strokes on it. (just some constructive critism though)

Tim Drake is definitely my favourite Robin. I liked him even more as Red Robin. Always a badass lol. This is awesome stuff!

With Red Robin, it was nice to see him break out of the family and become his own hero...which I adored. It makes me sad that the only way I can read stuff about Tim now is the Teen Titans

Yeah, that's why I like Tim and Dick as they went down their own paths out of the Robin mantle. I know what you mean

I almost wish they'd give him back the traditional Red Robin costume too. The new one seems too...Robin-esque. He should definitely have his own unique outfit. But oh well.

I do like the new 52 costume but I agree with you, it seems more like a new Robin take on the costume. Would have liked a redesign of the original Red Robin costume.
I'm gonna have to dig out mine again, this conversation makes me want to re-read them again

Well, the New 52 is definitely an interesting take on the costume...but I guess I grew to love Tim with a cape and cowl. He always seemed to be the most Batman-esque of the Bat family, and it just suited him.
But yeah, I feel the same way lol. I dug mine out this weekend and re-read the entire series. I miss it!

Definitely the closest to Batman...I would've loved to see what happened if they kept up with that.
But I haven't read any of the Death of the Family stuff yet, but it'd be nice. Tim has been appearing in Batman titles a little more recently, soo....fingers crossed!

By far he was and yeah I agree, would be nice to see if he ended up coming close to Batman's standards.
I've read the latest issues and all I'll say is we're gonna be in for some nice surprises as there will be a lot of crossovers between the Batman issues

You know what I would've loved to see? I would've loved to see Tim pull a Nightwing and move to a different city, to become a hero in his own right.
But I'll definitely have to head down to the comic shop and check that out! I've heard good things so far, and seeing Tim in action with Jason of all people is always interesting to read

They are definitely worth the buy as the story's all link together in some way, and we're gonna be in for some treats with this new story arc! Plus Tim and Jason together will make for some awesome comics

Yeah, Tim and Damian are ALWAYS fun to read. Some of my favourite moments from the Red Robin series were interactions between the two. Right up there with Ra's calling Tim "detective", which was a BIG deal for me, as the only person he EVER called "detective" was Bruce.
