It may be correct for a formal translation, but I kinda doubt it. 'Specially since Odd rarely speaks to Jim in a formal tone. So... Yeah.

I think you mean "Est-ce que vous comprenez l'anglais?", which would be "do you understand English?" Do you understand French would be "Est-ce que vous comprenez la français?" You sounded it out right though
