how did you customize this one?

Son-of-Italy In reply to apolloscooter [2014-09-30 00:10:38 +0000 UTC]

Storm trooper forearms added to a regular scout trooper body. Shoulder guards are from a galactic marine. helmet and head are from the Legacy collection space trooper. The gun was scratch built from stuff I had in my weapons box. other than that it's a repaint

Man, that reminds me of my old gear in galaxies almost to a T.

Holy crap that is too funny. I made a near identical set of troopers to this guy using a biker scout and stormtrooper combo a while back. Though non where near as good as this.

Awesome idea. Stormtroopers would surely have looked like this if Star Wars was made in the XXIst century

Okay. Good job on the details though! I thought they were 12" Showcase models or something.

A biker scout mixed with a space trooper.
You got all the parts to work well together and the pauldron piece form Rex doesn't look like it restricts too much movement. TE only problem I have it the sloppy brown wash over his face.

Were's the gun from?

Son-of-Italy In reply to Brent-Starkiller [2010-04-14 00:37:13 +0000 UTC]

the wash didn't go well i agree,so i figure at some point he lost is helmet and got mud all over his face during combat. the pauldrons are from a Galactic Marine, wirth the little bandoleer cut off. Thanks for the comments!

I like the gold eyepieces on the helmet. I'm not sure how practical such a design would be in the "real" world, (shiny gold on a dark-suited commando?) but it complements the color scheme of the rest of the armor very nicely, which is good enough for me.

i see it as a reflective coating, like the red sheen to some combat optics. glad you like him

This and your Spec Ops Scout kinda reminds me of the Storm Commandos but cooler in a way. Keep up the great work!

Son-of-Italy In reply to PD-Black-Dragon [2010-04-13 01:42:19 +0000 UTC]

that what i was going for wth those 2, i dont like the storm commandos being just black armor scouts it seems to "easy" for me

PD-Black-Dragon In reply to Son-of-Italy [2010-04-13 02:52:21 +0000 UTC]

True. I think it would've made more sense to have the standard Scout Troopers have their armor painted with a Camouflage pattern like the 41st Elite Clones in Episode III. As for the Storm Commando I think a dark Urban pattern would've looked absolutely bad ass.
