It has come to my attention that Tim Conway has passed away.

For those of you who aren't aware, Tim Conway was the voice of Barnacle Boy on SpongeBob SquarePants, and worked alongside the late Ernest Borgnine, who played Mermaid Man, on the "Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy" episodes of the show.

SpongeBob is one of three huge influences on KareUmi, and so I thought I'd dedicate this comic, not just to Tim Conway, but to the people he worked hard with as well; Stephen Hillenburg, who first brought the characters of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy to life, and Ernest Borgnine, Mr. Conway's crime-fighting partner in superheroism.

Rest in peace, Mr. Conway. Rest, all three of you. Your dedication, hard work, and legacy will not be forgotten.
