Description
Please read rules before submitting. This is a project I had in mind for a while. I've always wanted to start a project everyone on DA can take part in.
This project is called Artists of DA. As you can probably guess, it has to do with the artists of Deviant Art. The idea is that even though everyone on DA has their own art styles and techniques. The one thing we all have in common is that we're all creative, and artists should come together to not only show our differences but also show the beauty in our differences.
I started with myself, and what is suppose to happen is someone will draw themselves and send it to me. Once they do, I will put that person in this picture, then I will link to their DA at the bottom.
I really hope this project grows and spreads. X3 Please help support this project by taking part or telling others.
-------------------------------------
Edit:
I am glad to see more people are taking a notice to this. We finally have more girls too! let's hope it keeps going =3
-------------------------------------
Rules:
1.) It HAS TO BE YOU! No alter egos or anything. It has to be the real you in your art style. No other characters.
2.) It can be any art style: Anime/Manga, Toony, Realistic, etc.
3.) They have to be looking in the same direction. For example, look at me. It is as if I am looking at something, like a light. It doesn't mater where you body is facing or what pose you are in, so long as your eyes are looking in the same direction.
4.) The light source is coming from the same direction you are looking at. Try to shade accordingly (I know I am not the best shadder myself, but try your best).
5.) Keep it clean, please. I want this to be viewable for everyone. I don't mind sexy clothing or anything, but please no nudity.
6.) Try to keep it to scale. I am 6 foot 5 inches. You can download this picture if you wish so you can keep to scale. When you send in this picture, please let me know how tall you are. I also realize people's style of drawing may result in differences in height. If you have a hard time keeping it to scale in terms of height, so long as it is reasonable it's fine. If you're not taller than a building or smaller than an ant, you're good.
7.) MUST BE FULL BODY.
8.) Please send the picture in either a photoshop file or .png file with no background.
9.) Don't worry about the lighting effects, I'll take care of it.
10.) Upload your picture to DA with a link to this picture. This is so this project can spread and grow.
11.) NO. BASE. PICTURES! Any base picture I receive will be rejected.
12.) If you want to update your picture, just send it to me and I will replace your old one.
13.) Must be colored.
14.) Must have DA account.
15.) Please sign your picture.
16.) If your finished picture was not made on the computer, please scan the picture. No photographs.
17.) It can't be you cosplaying. It has to be YOU.
I will update the rules if anything comes up.

ok. If you wanna submit it you can so long as you follow the rules. Really all you have to do is change the direction of the eyes and color it and you're good. If you wanna scale it yourself you can download my pic and scale it to how you see fit.

I might try. Lets see if I can actually scale my height... luckily I'm only a foot shorter so it might be a bit easier.

This is interesting, I was just getting around to colouring a drawing of myself. Unfortunately its not full-body so I'm gonna have to add to it, but I think I will try this out.
Do my eyes have to look up like yours? Mine are looking a bit downwards...

so long as you're looking in the same direction, it doesn't matter.

Do you want the Photoshop file to have all layers merged, or is all in one layer folder alright?

Son23 In reply to AniDrewit [2010-10-05 22:46:30 +0000 UTC]
either or would be fine, but I'd prefer everything being one layer minus any possible background layer. I other words, two layers, one for you and one for the background (if any)

you draw a picture, then you erase the background (no white. works best in photoshop). When you save it as .png it saves without the background. If you save it as any other file, it will create a white background. It is best if you save the photoshop file, though.
