I found the original painting by Vernet and spent some time comparing the two pieces. Your lighter palette and muted detail (in comparison) gives your piece a more dreamlike fantasy quality. His piece with it's intense realism is like a photograph of a moment in time. I get the feeling of reading a fairy tale from your piece. Very nice interpretation!

thank you very much for your nice comment.i agree with you.i really dont like killing animals...it is not true at all.i just chose it just because of the horse in this painting.i like horses alot.
