All videogames happened within the same universe only on different worlds. The First Frontline is a small group of some of the first heroes to rise and restore order to their worlds and now are on a mission to do the same throughout the entire galaxy.

I basically got my childhood videogame heroes and threw them into a sci-fi futuristic universe and it went on from there.

Beany Bird has a magic power of being able to shrink Croc down to a small enough size for her to carry him from one level to the next. Now with the technology, she is able to transport all members from the team to and from the base ship and the world below. She will normally be flying overhead of the team to be the eye in the sky to let them know what's coming towards them, to also be the mini-map and will normally scout out ahead on her own accord to relay information to Sparx who then gives the info to the rest of the team when they need it.

Surprisingly enough, Beany has a backstory which ties her to Croc.

When Croc was an infant, his parents where feared that they may never return on their own because of Baron Dante's existence on Gobbo Archipelago (the island where Croc: legend of the Gobbos takes place), Beany found his unhatched, lost egg. So she put the egg into a basket, and then sent it to Gobbo Valley, in the hope that he would find sanctuary. Beany Bird is not only Croc's best friend but she is also his saviour.
