Description
Although today, 2013, has really nice… looking movies coming out this year: ten years ago, was a much better year for cinema. Here is a lookback to most of the flicks of year 03 A.D., both animated and live-action, and what makes each of them a great movie.Finding Nemo: This was Pixar at their best, and even the film after that was at best: the movie after that one was okay-good, but then the company just threw out whatever and everyone praised paganly that stuff for no reasonable reason. I love the underwater world, the music, and the characters. Of course, it is anything but perfect. Here is Marlin Nemo the clownfish, Dory the pacific regel blue tang fish, Crush the Sea Turtle, and Peach the Star Fish. Also, I am not looking forward that much to the sequel in 2015.
Piglet’s Big Movie: Another great film in the Winnie the Pooh Bear & Friends series, and another reason why DisneyToon Studios shouldn’t get as much of the trash people bash out at them. it doesn’t just have a good message of being happy to be special, but also sadly one of the last times ‘’John Fiedler’’ voiced Piglet.
Dr. Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat: this live-action slapstick comedy adaptation of the classic Dr. Seuss is great family film full of humor and a message of the consequences of role breaking: not to mention the nobleness of learning to be fun. However, the overload of unnecessary mature content (sex jokes and language) kind of spoils this film like Mona lesia with a mus… no, more like a pink nick full of ants- Even if a your childhood messed-up is kind of funny. Mike Myers plays a very fun and comical take on the Cat himself! Sadly, because Myers and the Producers wanted a joke about neutering and a dirty hoe, Audrey Geisel put a permanent hiatus on live-action adaptions of her late husband’s work and everything will now be animated. Darn, thanks guys! I really to watch a live-action ‘’Green Eggs and Ham’’, and because 2D animated is dead in the U.S. and the only stop-motion companies only do horror, that story and everything else look be victims of the CGDIctator! But then again, Audrey said that no HOLLYWOOD company can make a new one: And that means an indie or foreign studio can work right away! (Universal, DreamWorks, and Imagine)
Elf: This film is kind of how I got to know Will Ferrell, and it is a great family film for Christmas time! Buddy the Elf is really great character. And, that is about it. (New Line Cinema)
Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas: I am not sure if you know this, but there was a time that DreamWorks Animation actually made 2D Traditional hand-drawn Animated Features, and not just CGI/Computer animated! (Well, they did also distribute Aardman’s stop-motion films) Sinbad was their final film due to the financial loss and the 3D age kind of taking over America. But, this film is worth more than how DreamWorks and Jeffery Katzenberg give credit and rate for. It is fun, full of adventure, and has good morality of being noble. I do wonder how the sequels would’ve been like.
Daddy Day Care: Eddy Murphy in a fun and whimsical kids movie about two fathers and their friend (Marvin. That guy in the carrot suit and a long-life trekkie) trying be great men in the eyes of children. Of course, because of its PG rating (I forgot to mention that the films on this list are Rated G, PG, and PG-13 only), it might trouble some parents. (Columbia/Sony)
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl: Pirate Captain jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and his friends sail off into the media in the first adaption of the classic Walt Disney attraction! I liked the ride as a kid, but I was very scared of the drops, yeah if you didn’t know, I have a problem with drops and major roller coasters. I never thought that the ride would ever become a feature film. Although the film is good, it kind of has conflictive morality and it is scary for a so-called ‘’family adventure’’ . and from another critical aspect, there isn’t much reference to the ride.
Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over: The third and once-final installment to the ‘’Spy Kids films’’ is probably the most memorable and fun of the trilogy (I liked the first one, but only seeing the second one once or few times, I don’t really remember it much). Oh, like the previous film had something related to fear, I didn’t want to go see this in theatres because of it being in 3D! Yeah, I was little and sensitive- not to mention I was starting to be in need of glasses, so that explains some things. The film isn’t perfect but it is fun. Oh, and the one after that is good to, but doesn’t quite have the same charm. Character in yellow halo/iron man costume is ‘’Juni Cortez’’ (Daryl Sabara)- Dimension Films and Troublemaker Studios!
Brother Bear: the 44th animated feature from The Walt Disney canon isn’t the best, or spiritually as good, but it is enjoyable and has nice animation. I wish I saw it in theatres just so my 2D theatrical record would be much higher than five! The bear cup is Koda, and he is lovable. Oh, did I mention that it is a better film than that Princess Rip-off BRAVE… wihich alos has a miss-leading title!
Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King: I would like to inform you that I am not the biggest fan of the Middle-Earth series. The book trilogy and the Hobbit have been in my family’s library since i can remember and before that, and I saw the 1970s Hobbit on home video while my sister was prating her role as Gollum in a play. Of course, I didn’t know the two were connected. This film isn’t really my favorite, but it is fun and has some great elements to it that balance the scary and gory imagery. Oh, and it is almost sort of an adaption of a Christian work, since J.R.R. Tolkien was a catholic and a friend to Christian author C.S. Lewis (What did he do again?). Also, this is the favorite and preferred-BEST-film ever in the eyes of one of my friends. Even though it did deserve Best Picture, I believe that award should’ve gone to Finding Nemo, and yes, even The Cat in the Hat was worthy of that or another Oscar! (New Line and now Warner Bros.)
Holes: This Live-Action Disney film about shovels and digging was the first major starring role for actor ‘’Shia LaBeouf’’, and it is fun to watch. And no, this movie wasn’t 2002.
X2: X-Men United: The second feature based off the mutant superhero team is... or was very cool. Of course, I was 13 and discovered X-Men and thought it was the greatest thing ever after my Sonic phase. Hey, the effects, theme/style, and lighting were cool, and I liked the characters. Of course, it does deal with ‘’evolution’’, which makes it very atheistic- however, I cannot forget the Christian character Nightcrawler who shows his faith in his savior. Oh, the blue girl with Wolverines’ hand and claws is the shape-shifter ‘’Mystique’’ (portrayed by Rebecca Romjin) Yeah, it is very hard to draw naked people without drawing naked people. (20th Century FOX and Marvel)
The Jungle Book 2: Another Disney sequel, big deal. But it is sort of good. Ooh, a Banana!
So, that is all the films I importantly listed for their 10th Anniversaries. How does that year compare with the current year right now? Ten years ago was better, same goes for 20 and 30! I really miss the olden days, now everything is cheep humor and actless action that copies each other! See ya later!
P.S. I like how most of the art came out, and I should credit mention that this was inspirated by a picture titled ''2012 United''

I drew a 2002 picture last year, but I didn't upload it because how sloppy it was and that I wanted to spend my time having my life and not always being on this website.

Except for the fact there is a character turned into a bear in Brave and Brother Bear, the stories are completely different.
