Ariel & Jar Jar Binks, two people who are aquatic amphibians, who are both outcasts in the situations they're trapped in. One wishes for more in life, even beyond the sea... the other literally was casted out of his society, but also is a bumbling person who desires to do good but his actions backfire.For the artwork, I did my best to give an underwater approach, aseptically with the pencils and markers I had. Yes, I did have to cheat with the watercolor pens for parts of the ocean backdrop and on some coral. It isn't quite a Thomas Kinkade picture, but I think it turned out alright, not to pat messa's own back.

I have got to say man I have always loved your stuff with your choice of subjects and situations. This one caught my attention just based off premise alone!
So I have to say it, I ADORE your use of the underwater perspective on this piece. Always a sucker for aquatic pieces if I do say so myself. The bubbles and stuff, along with your use of colors really convey it well!
The environment looks awesome. The coral and sea life looks perfect, and the spot where they are both in is like the perfect meeting spot!
Now onto the characters themselves! Jar Jar and Ariel both look great here. The facial expressions and gestures of the hands both look natural and nice, and it looks like something is checking out what is going on in the top right corner!
Also she got the booty too!

#2 I have a love for undersea landscape and world (except the thought of deep water. While other people may be more paranoid by the feeling, I am not without fault of being afraid of it). Anyway, I love the coral reefs and environments so I did my best to perfect my interpretation of them.

It would be nice to be able to breath under the sea, to live in the pretty places., but that's not the only issue with deep water... no, pressure is a problem for anyone who's not a big whale or squid.
Of course, he's there along with the crab guy as well (if you saw)
I wish I worked at Disney on Little Mermaid & Tangled, being the artists for the heroines... so they would have big exaggerated butts in actuality.

Ariel's face looks a bit weird (I think there's a bit too much space between her eye and her hairline), but other than that, CUTE. I love this idea. Jar Jar and Ariel could probably get along real well. The background's real pretty, and of course it's always nice to see Jar Jar get some appreciation.

Not really, think about it, he is an outcast from society that wants to redeam himself. If they were to focus on that, he wouldn't have been hated by so many people

That's because people are bothered by the fact that... he is THEM, and they are he... they rather be like Han Solo, these Star wars fans, but they are actually nerdy outcasts who will mess up once in a while.
Also, great art has always had harsh reputation at first... Vincent van Gogh anyone?

However, I have run into a lot of fans of Jar Jar and positive words, pictures, and few videos for the Gungan. In cosplay this year, a number of people appreciated my Jar Jar costume

When I was like, I had a worldview of everyone loving Jar Jar and I-III, most people I knew did.... than after The Clone Wars movie, I looked into the internet... that's when I discovered how cruel the world actually was....

Yea I read up on TV tropes about him, I always liked him thought he was real funny.
Though meant for comic relief most fans saw him as someone they needed relief from. I also hear people got mad taht he walked like a "black guy", NAW ya don't say?! The guy they had walkin around in a jar jar suit so they could put the CGI over was a Black guy! I"d only imagine he walked like the actor!

Just balonia the media put out that people blindly followed... it bugs me that a character so nice and well-meaning, who befriends the first BEING who saves him, and reunites his people with another race of people... is considered "RACIST!" /: ( ?

I know some people think Jar Jar is racist because he "walks and talks like a black person"
But if the actually looked up the actor they'd know it's Ahmed Best.
Tho I think the main reason he's hated is how annoying he is. But that's what I like about him I cant imagine him being any other way or imagine the movie without him, wouldn't be the same.
