Description When I found out that a movie (2003) based off the Dr. Seuss book of The Cat in the Hat (1957) was being made, I wanted to see it.
I was more existed when I saw the trailer on the special edition video of the 1972 Lorax special.
I remember the toys we got (a burger king cleaning machine car/Moss-covered three-handled family gradunza /D.I.R.T, and a Hat that you look into). We still have those and my personal plush stuffed dal from Toys R. Us
However, we didn’t see the movie because (as I heard from mom) critics and people say ‘’They turned Dr. Seuss’ book into a ronchy adult film’’ (I only though that adults went to it, I didn’t know about… the WORDS!)
However, around December 2008, I saw the last scenes of the movie on TV, I thought it was really weird yet very entertaining.
However, I didn’t see the feature the whole way through, only parts out of order. I had mixed feelings at the time and so on because of the weirdness and bad language, but the funny jokes and plot. I had mixed feelings about Mike Myers’ Cat at first to.
However, I rented the film in April (a week before I performed in a Treasure Island play) and I fell in love. I think the movie gets a bad rap only because of the mature content. Take the uneededsh away and it would’ve got mixed-positive reviews.

After I saw ‘’The Lorax’’ in theatres in mid-march, I fell in love and (as I usually do after seeing a film) go to Wikipedia and visit the film’s page. I found out that Universal Studios announced that there will be #1, a live action Doctor Theodore Geisel Seuss biography starring Johnny Depp and #2, a CGI reboot of the Cat in the Hat!
Out of the other planned films from Illumination Entertainment, I am looking forward to this one.
I wonder who will voice the Cat? Robin Williams, Jim Carrey, Jack Black, James Arnold Taylor (Unfortunately, Hollywood doesn’t really let professional voice-actors or actresses star lead in a movie), but I also thought of the oddest choice… Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man, Sherlock Holmes).
I also thought about if they cast Justin Bieber as the unnamed Boy/brother (Conrad in the 03 movie, and unrelated friend Nick in the animated series ‘’CITH Knows A Lot About That’’ on PBS Kids)
What if they combined the plots of both books (The book and Cat in the Hat Comes Back) together? Make the Cat an experiment from Area 51, Thing 1 and 2 are aliens, the Cat’s hat (If like in the 2003 film where is found purpose) is a device made by the military. What if they re-use the love plot from Lorax, what if… Well, we have till then to find out.

I drew this artwork this week. I don’t really draw fan art BEFORE the movie comes out and I see it, but
#1 I did want to be the first to draw a fan art for the remake. And…
#2, I felt like illustrating one.

As you can see, the (edited) film company logos are similar to the opening of the original Cat movie. I drew them on a separate piece of paper and GIMPED them on (Yes, that is a Despicable Me Minion with a hat).

Cat and friends – Dr. Seuss, Audrey Geisel, Geisel Family and the Seuss Company.

Films – Universal Pictures, DreamWorks Pictures, Imagine Entertainment and Illumination Entertainment.

Art – SonicClone/Noah Evans

P.S. The 2003 flick is also the LAST live action movie based off a Seuss book. Hopfully the Geisel family can get over the inccident and trust people outside of Animation again. Also, i respect whatever option of the film you have.

I've heard a rumour Johnny Depp is going to voice the Cat, but only time shows.

I don't know what to tell you but this is more out of character for the characters in The Cat in the Hat.

Finally! Someone who understands me! I thought it was very funny too despite its mature content.

You know, since I heard this idea, I had a crazy idea of a CGI remake of another live-action remake of a cartoon that performed poorly...Inspector Gadget, I know it's ridiculous, but I thought it'd be worth another shot since Disney didn't do so well in 1999.

If this idea actually became a CGI remake of Inspector Gadget, which studio do you think should do it, just hypothetically?

Illumination, as well
Sony Pictures Animation
Blue Sky Studios
or DreamWorks Animation?

Well I liked it too, I wasn't panning the film, I just said it performed poorly because everyone else hates it and it didn't do so well at the box office, I was saying that if there was a CGI one, people would like it more and it would do better at the box office. Same deal with Illumination's version of the Cat in the Hat.

I feel the same way for the live action Gadget movie as well. I grew up with it.

Ooooooooooouh... Sorry, my bad. Yeah, you could be right. However, the 2003 Cat film could also possibly go the same way the 1971 Willy Wonka film has gone, which the 93 Mario Film is on its way to.
