Another installment, I think probably the sixth of ‘’Super Mario Bros. Meet the Movie’’, where the beloved video game characters meet their live-action counterparts from the 1993 film.
Now, this is not really much of a main character or supporting sidekick. It is a villain, but more of a lot of gones… Baa… Goom, Ba…. YES! It is, they are in fact… The Goomba Legion.

Game:
The goombas first appeared in the 1985 SMB NES video game, in which are those little walking things you jump on. According to sources, they are in fact traitors to the Mushroom Kingdom: and ironically, they are designed/moldered after shiitake mushrooms. I don’t know what else to say except that they aren’t playable characters and they’re almost in everything. Oh, there are Goomba sidekicks in the Paper Mario games.
Movie Feature:
In the live-action film, the Goombas are not little brown heads with feet; they are GIANT LIZARD MEN WHO WORK FOR KING KOOPA! You see, there is this ‘’de-evolution’’ (like there was any to begin with) machine that devolves rogue citizens into loyal & stupid creatures that work under Koopa’s army. In fact, Toad gets turned into one after singing the positivly famous ‘’’Anti-Koopa Song’’. However, he was still able to help his friends bring down the dictator. The Goombas are what makes the film is lovable masterpiece & cult classic.

I won’t anything about the art since you do not really care or anything: or even read my notes. But, I should tell you I did my best to capture their image. Also, next month will mark a year in which I started this Devient series. Also, happy 20th anniversary to the movie.
