Okay, this was a long time coming.

In the roleplay that I've mentioned numerous times, we now officially have the entirety of the DC and Marvel multiverses, including Charles Xavier, Thomas Wayne Jr, and Slade Wilson. We frequently put the characters through all sorts of shenanigans, like, for example, genderbending.

Several interpretations of Slade went into my characterization of him in said roleplay, but the main three were Teen Titans (in which I was first exposed to Slade, via his position as the big bad), Young Justice (you'll notice that the uniform is the one from Young Justice, complete with eye patch), and Arrow (which I doubt many of you have seen).

Arrow is a show on the CW, about Oliver Queen. Slade is included in the flashbacks (he's the australian guy with the hobo beard and the dual swords), but he's not as important to the plot as Oliver is. He's part of the australian secret service, his hair isn't gray yet, and he mentions one of his children... "Joe".

Who is Joe? Well, you may know him from Teen Titans, as Jericho, or the blond boy with green eyes and telepathic powers, in the series finale.

Anyway...

Slade in Arrow is a tough teacher, but he's saved Ollie's ass on more than one occassion... he's a good guy.

Slade in Teen Titans is also a tough teacher and he helped save the world from Trigon.... but he only helped with Trigon because Trigon double crossed him, therefore, bad guy.

Slade in Young Justice.... well, he seems to be nothing more than a merc, albeit one that Lex likes ("Deathstroke is more of a bishop than a pawn"); he does bad things, yeah, but he doesn't seem to be overtly evil. He drinks coffee and takes off his colors just like the good guys do.

I play Slade as being a merc-- he's good at what he does, and what he does is what you pay him to do. I also play him as a father, though not a very good one.
