Do you mean like custom modeling? I'm not really an artist that can do that sort of thing. But if there're no pieces of cloth that would require physics, I can rig a costume to a character body.

Do you mean in blender? And do you mean UV mapping? I don't know about unwrapping. I just export the xps swimsuit as an OBJ with xna/lara  and import it into blender. I only touch the UV editor once when I go to map the swimsuit's color texture to the swimsuit.

Yeah that's what I meant. I'll have to try that method out. There's a plug-in that imports xps files into blender directly, but it doesn't do the UV mapping correctly.

Ok. Interesting. I just followed Ecchigamer's tutorial to learn how to mod and he didn't feature anything like that plugin. In fact, we were using broken versions of the io_fbx_scene script which caused different errors. That's fixed now. If that plug-in you mentioned worked, it should save that much time to manually UV map it. Too bad.

Unless you aren't importing with the settings that "it" wants you to use to preserve how xna/lara handles the data. Stuff like which Z orientation it has, etc. That's be my last guess at fixing the error.
