The Darkness is the true antagonist of the 2013 rhythm game Geometry Dash. He is an evil manifestation of destruction itself who desires to destroy the Dashlands (which is the GD Cube’s home). He was held prisoner by the Keymaster for many years, but after the GD Cube unwittingly set him free, he revealed his evil plan to destroy the Dashlands. After that, he escapes, leaving the Keymaster in a state of sheer fright and panic. The GD Cube is now hunting after him to destroy him before it’s too late.
Prior to his escape, The Darkness also lied to the GD Cube that he was the legendary “Demon Guardian” of the Dashlands, but of course he really isn’t the legendary Demon Guardian at all.
