NiGHTS and Reala made it into the racer thanks to the last NiGHTS campaign everyone did; I'm sure the idea of another game has passed someone's desk before~.

True true, but in the racing game, wasn't Reala and Nights like vehicles, with Nightopians riding them? (at least that's what I've seen and heard) I would have preferred them to simply be themselves x) But oh well, at least they heard their fans, so you must be right

NiGHTS and Reala are vehicles, yes; but only NiGHTS has a pain-driver. Reala has one of his goodle-riders.
And I have to agree with you there, it would have been awesome to have them in their normal states for more of the game, but during both their all-star moves they revert to themselves to attack. SEGA did bring that in for us.
