technically the pokemon red and blue manual said that red and green/blue oak were age 11 when they started their journeys, the age 10 thing was anime exclusive, as the adventures manga also said that EVERY protagonist and rival of the main series is 11 at first with the exception of the characters from black and white & black 2 and white 2.
I suggest editing that so it fits the game continuity, which does not equal the anime continuity. also they stopped giving color names after GSC, and HGSS at that renames gold and krys to ethan and lyra, while silver still doesn't have a canon name (barry's and hugh's were revealed by supplimentary materials and Game Freak themselves, as well as one of the few times the anime actually DID equaled the games.)

I have no idea what you said, but if it's about Ranger Yellow, the reason why I made up that character and her ego after a color is possibly two reasons. One because of Pikachu, and the other is because I watched a Super Sentai special. The word, yellow, sounds pretty good when it came into Japan. Ironically, Yellow does have some involvements when it comes with Pokemon. Since Ranger Yellow is not too well on the Pokemon games, her reason why she loves Pokemon is because she watched the anime series.Β

Well, Lucy is too young for being a Pokemon trainer, so I made her two years older. In the sequel of the Nintendo Force story, she'll be between 17 to 20, taking on a form of her adult self. I got that idea because of Mega Evolution, that was introduced in the XY saga.

Scratch that! As Lucy, she'll be 9 years old, but as Ranger Yellow, she'll transform into her adult form, referring Mega Evolution and Cure Ace from Doki Doki Pretty Cure.
