Recently, I’ve had this fan fiction in my head where instead of Kotone being the rival it was Gold so Silver had a crush on his Rival’s childhood friend. So I finally got the courage to write fan fiction again. I hope you enjoy.

Chapter 1: Off to a New Adventure ( SoulSilver Shipping)
“Good Bye!” Yelled a small voice in front of Silver.
“Excuse me?” It took a while for Silver to piece the moment together. His Rival’s friend, Kotone, appeared right in front of his face to spew out “Good bye”
“Didn’t you hear me? I said ‘Good Bye!’” she repeated herself
“Yeah I heard that, What I want to know is why you came up to My face to blurt that out!” Silver said with irritation in his voice.
“Wait… Didn’t you hear… from Gold?”
“Hear what from Gold? His idiotic rambling?”
“Hey! Don’t say that about your Friend!” She scolded him
“Anyways, what didn’t I hear from Gold?” Silver pushed
“Him and I are going to Hoenn for Professor Elm. So I came here to say good bye before I left. I know we haven’t been friends for very long but you’re still considered a friend to me!”
Kotone said with a smile on her face close, too close, to Silver’s face, making Silver feel his face burn but more importantly, His Rival and his friend were going to Hoenn and this was the only notice he was getting. His Rival leaving would be a problem, he wouldn’t be able to prove his strength if Gold wasn’t here.
“ I understand why Gold’s leaving, but why you? You don’t have much business with Professor Elm”
Kotone looked up for a moment to think before she replied.” There’s this really super cute pokemon over there called a “Skitty” and I want to catch one!” She said with amusement in her voice.
Hoenn was a completely different region from Johto and Kanto meaning there was different pokemon, Stronger Pokemon. The thought lingered in Silver’s head “Stronger Pokemon”, if he went to Hoenn he could catch stronger pokemon and finally beat his Rival. What a fascinating thought, no, what a fascinating Idea! Silver could board a plane to Hoenn and catch strong pokemon, plus he has heard stories of a Pokemon called “Aggron” a strong steel and rock type with a Mega evolution! The idea was no longer an idea, it was a plan.
“So when are you guys leaving?” Silver asked
“Tomorrow actually! Our plane leaves at 9am. Why want to wave good bye?”
“Tomorrow?!” If he had known that he would’ve left sooner, but if Gold left now he would get even stronger than him. Silver hated that thought, but can he even get a plane ticket now? Would it be too late?
“ Hmm, it’s a shame that you will see us leave and not join us, it would be much more fun if all 3 of us left together!” That’s when her pigtails bounced up and Kotone snapped her fingers. “ I forgot, I have an extra ticket! Professor Elm was supposed to join us, but recently he had all this work to do, so he said he could change the name on his ticket if we wanted a friend to come along! ”
This was perfect, an extra ticket to get stronger!
“but...”
Silver didn’t like the sound of that “but”.
“I don’t want to give it to just anybody, I mean I prefer to give this ticket to someone strong just in case we run into trouble. How about a battle? If you can beat me one-on-one, I will tell Professor Elm to put your name down on the ticket”
Ha! A challenge to beat a girl with a tiny Marill? Too Easy, like taking a berry from a Caterpie!
“Ok, I accept! Come on out, Meganium!”
“ Oh a Meganium! Hmm then I choose… Come on out, Typhlosion!”
Typhlosion...TYPHLOSION?! That Marshmallow head has a Typhlosion!!!
“What? Are you getting cold feet?” Kotone teased. “Well, you’re free to back down at any time.”
“There’s no way I will lose to you! Come on Meganium lets beat that Typhlosion!”

And from there a fierce battle went on.
