Well, I never expected to want to join this group, but then I discovered two friends of mine were in it.
Apparently, it was fate. X'D

  Charlie is a complete coward. He can easily break down and even faint over the simplest things, from giving and receiving advice to standing next to someone taller than him. He can be awfully clingy as well; he is always in desperate need of support, as he feels he cannot function without it... And the way he behaves shows that it's pretty close to the truth! Once he finds a person to trust, he would stick to them like glue and acts a tad less anxious. Until that happens, he's a pretty fearful young fellow.
  Luckily, he does have his moments where his meister abilities shine through. For example, while he is an anxious mess, he has his heart in the right place; he is slowly developing a habit of forcing himself from the pan into the fire, so to speak. He has his ambitions, as he has long ago realized his fears will never get him to where he wants to go, and he tries his best to take every opportunity to face his fears. Especially after his uncle made him realize his lowkey courage, he tries his very best to make it more prominent.
  He's a very fast learner as well, as his obedience and listening skills contribute to the ability to mimic other's actions almost spot-on. His clinginess can also be seen as die-hard loyalty as well. At the end of the day he is also a very comforting shoulder to lean on... Albeit a short one.

Oversized jackets and dressware; sweets, especially strawberry-flavored; hugs and other friendly gestures (but only from those he trusts); flowers and colorful plantlife; the color purple; anything fluffy!

  Backstory

  Charlie was born into a fairly profitable family, his mother and father both earning their keep in their own growing businesses. With the money they have earned, the young Chespin was able to get most anything he desired; a recipe for a spoiled brat, right? However, he was rarely ever happy growing up, as this nice life came at a price; his parents and their attention. He never received the support and love a child like him should get, and being born with an already fragile heart and weak spirit that comes with timidity, the poor fellow quickly became anxious and unsure of himself. That unsureness evolved into total cowardice as he grew, reports of fainting or getting sick in class an almost weekly occurance in his school. Sadly, his parents did very little about it except for supply him with a few of his stress-relieving comforts; fluffy toys and his favorite overly-large jacket he turns to for security. He struggled with anxiety for much of his life, and he was always disappointed in himself for it, as he wished he would do better under pressure...

  The discovery of Charlie being a meister changed everything. It had been a lost, hidden secret among both sides of the family that they had a long line-up of meisters and weapons. This fact was basically disregarded, as a calm, profitable life tended to be preferred among family members. That is, except for his uncle; a rebellious weapon on his father's side. Although Charlie feared him and his father regarding him as a pest, his uncle tested his young nephew to see if he was a meister by asking about souls; if he could see them, what they looked like, all the other stuff. When Charlie replied with unsure results-- he could see souls, but he always mistook them as anxious hallucinations--, he tried a second method; he transformed into a weapon by surprise to see how he would react. Sure enough, Charlie's wavelengths reacted; he went to grip the weapon as if by instinct rather than cowering away like he usually would, and found he easily handled the weapon even though he never even touched a kitchen knife in his life. This thrilled his uncle, but of course his parents disapproved and scolded the crazy fellow. Charlie, however, to everyone's and his own surprise, was on his uncle's side on this one; it was the first time he ever felt truly confident about doing something out of the ordinary, and he thought that this could potentially create a turning point in his life. He would finally feel brave, he could change his ways of seeing the world, and maybe, just maybe, he could find someone to truly look up to at long last. Even if the discovery was made by his uncle just to spite his father and was rather forced and-- according to his father-- apparently dangerous, Charlie was more than happy that his meister abilities were revealed to him.

  His uncle brought his nephew to Death City, where he would be able to learn how to weild weapons properly and to be the second in the family to actually use their abilities for great things. On the way, his uncle made certain to leave a bigger crack in the Chespin's sheltered exterior, planting the seed to his newfound ambitious trait. The sneak-attacks of turning into a weapon were almost a daily occurrence during the journey as to coax the bravery out of the poor learning meister, and they did make stops to practice handling anything resembling a weapon he could find. Although the Chespin was overwhelmed throughout all this, he was more than ready to greet a new life that would, hopefully, change him for the better.

-His favorite jacket has a name... 'Periwinkle.' This is a fact he soley keeps to himself for... Obvious reasons.
-(New!) Charlie suffers from depersonalization disorder, or DPD, that primarily effects his recognition of limbs and body parts. This disorder effected him greatly as a child, however he tends to refuse to talk about it.
