I jump out of my hiding place and thrust my spear through his left wrist, resulting in severing his tendon, him dropping his bow, and rendering his left hand useless. Finally, a hit on him, but now's not the time to celebrate. With his right hand, he takes a hunting knife from his waist and slices through the right side of my stomach area. Bearing the pain, I go for another attack, aiming for his heart. He dodges and uses his wind magic to lung me forward, getting my spear stuck in a tree behind him. I attempt to remove my spear as Nyx heads in for another strike. I'm able to remove my spear in time and swing it at Nyx. I get his right cheek, while he gets my left hip. I don't stop, I continue with the attacks, swinging wildly at Nyx, getting his arms and his chest. I have to get rid of his other arm. I aim between the two bones that make up the right arm and plan to do what I did to hail. I'm successful, the spear enters his arm near the elbow and returns near his wrist. This battle should be close to being done. I have to wrap this up, the tar is collecting again. He tries desperately to stab me through the chest, but loses his grip on the knife before it reaches and drops it. Out of nowhere, just when I think this match is over, he headbutts me with help from his wind magic right in my solar plexus, making me crash into a tree and leaving me gasping for air. "It's not over yet sharp." he says to reassure me. "I still have my magic as a weapon" "No shit," I cough. Geez if Nyx doesn't kill me, lack of oxygen will. I have to think, what else can I take from him? I can't take his magic. What can I take!? "Looks like you're having a hard time." Looks like it doesn't it? Wait, looks? Looking? Sight! That's another thing I can take. It may be dark here, but he can still see me. I can also use that time to land the finishing blow. I gather what little air I have and lunge toward him. He prepares for another strike for my solar plexus. I prepare myself and cough up tar into my mouth. He fires an air blast to my stomach and I release my tar strait into his eyes."UUUUUGGGGHHh" he shouts in disgust. He inches back and tries to wipe off the gunk that has just entered his eye sight. Now's my chance. I head back in, ignoring the fact I'm gasping for air, and stab Nyx though the chest. "guuhhh," I can feel the blood crawling onto my hands and dropping to the floor. There's a moment of silence. I'm not sure if I got him in the heart. "guuuuuhh" he pukes blood to the floor and on my spear. I think I got him. "Heh, looks like you win" he finally speaks. His tone sad, yet proud. Why is that? I just sent a spear through him. "It does" I respond, still gasping for air. "To think, I'd lose like this, you're a good fighter." "Hmph, I can barely feel my legs, my mind is quite blank, and I'm gasping for air. If I were a good fighter, I'd had your head on a platter the moment we met at the bazaar." I respond. His body is starting to fade. "Just like Hail huh?" he asked. "Don't worry, you'll see him again," I tell him. "... thanks" His body his half gone now. "Why are you thanking me, I killed you and your friend." I ask him, puzzled that he didn't curse my existence like every other victim. He's almost nothing but a head now. "Even though we fight each other, we still have our conscience. I think you humans call it the 'golden rule'". What good is that on the battlefield? His body completely vanishes. "... very strange" I tell myself. I walk over to the dead zombie and retrieve my overcoat and rip pieces of it to use as bandages for my battle scars.

-Later that night-

I finally get to town and find a place to treat my wounds. It's hard to sit with that wound on my ass. After I treat my wounds, I plan my next day. I can't stay and do nothing until my next battle. I need to be prepared. I barely escaped death today. It'll only get harder from here on out."... Bring it on."
