(the next day, Donna was seen in the Twin Seeds Mall's Arcade, playing a car racing game with another girl who is her friend, named June. Donna steered the wheel of the arcade machine, passing by other race cars. until eventually, she wins the race in a 1st place.)

June: Wow, Donna! you've got a real talent for these games!

Donna: thanks, June! I've been playing a similar racing game in the arcade center of my hometown! it helps ease my mind whenever I feel stressed out! that, along with drawing artwork!

June: will you also be at the Twin Seeds Festival?

Donna: of course I will!

June: Yay! how about we hang out together, along with big sister May and Matt?

Donna: we'll see! -w-

(Donna and June smiled at each other. the two have been friends for quite some time now. the young green haired artist remembers a time in her childhood, when she had seen June being bullied by other kids, just like her older sister, May, for being born almost completely blind, so she needed glasses to see clearly. Donna stood up to the bullies and drove them away from poor June. June looked up at Donna with teary eyes, as the green haired girl helped her up on her feet. Donna escorted the poor girl back to her grandparents' home, and the two girls, along with May, who also came back home after school. May and June's grandparents' were very kind hearted and let Donna inside for dinner. its also revealed that May and June were raising a black kitten they found during a rainy day...Donna saw that June was still sad by what happened.

Donna asked June for how long these kids have been bullying her, and June replied that its been like that for two years, ever since her and May's mother died and their father abandoned them. she thinks that this is what she deserves for being born blind, for being different than the other kids, for not being strong like her older sister. and Donna said that this wasn't true, that she's nothing like what the kids were saying to her, and deserves better than this. June was struggling to find Donna's words as true. then, the black kitten, who they named Coco, went over to Donna's lap, meowing as he wanted to play. Donna chuckled and pets the little kitten, who started to purr loudly in response. and suddenly, Donna had an idea of how to make June feel better...

some time later after dinner, Donna came out of the room, and gave June a beautifully drawn painting of herself, her sister, and little Coco. June's eyes were wide and she smiled her brightest smile as she happily accepted Donna's little present for her. and since then up until today, the two have been great friends. then Donna remembers a time when she called out June and May's bullies for their actions against them, destroying the lead bully's reputation as result...the bully's name was Jennifer, and she had a history of being abused by her alcoholic mother, which made her what she was. Jennifer fell to deep depression from losing friends because of her actions, and she apologized and opened up about her past to Donna, May and June. after knowing why Jennifer acted the way she has, they forgave her, even though the former bully believed she didn't deserve any forgiveness or mercy.)

(meanwhile, Sophie, Sonic, Tails, Bendy and Sophia were in a park, with May there as well...)

Sonic: Lost kitty, lost kitty, where are you? OwO

Tails: where is he?

Sophie: Hmm... we can't find him anywhere. say, Bendy! could you try calling for the kitty in cat language? OwO

Bendy: H-Huh? Err... (Does a paw gesture with both hands) M-Meow! Meow! Meow! ^o^

Sophia: (takes photos of Bendy with her phone, running in circles alongside her Onee-chan) More! be more cat-like! OWO

(It was a black cat with a collar... he sees Sonic and immediately jumps out of his hiding spot and back to May, who picks him up.)

May: There you are, Coco! you gave me a scare when you ran off, you mischievous silly kitty!

May: (to Sonic, Sophie and the group) thanks for finding him for me! sorry for troubling you!

May: now, I'm gonna go get my sister! thanks again! (runs off holding Coco in her arms)

(later that night, as Donna went to sleep, she found herself in the Dream Gate, along with Matt and Sophie, who also joined in again. NiGHTS and Lana were there as well, flying to the three visitors.)

NiGHTS: There you are! I was wondering how long do we have to wait until you've arrived here! -w-

Sophie: Sorry, NiGHTS. you know we had stuff to do in the waking world. -w-

NiGHTS: I know, I know! I was just saying!

Donna: the nightmarens weren't causing any trouble to you, were they?

Lana: No. Not at all. (looks over at a door to Nightopia appearing) well, I admit, I do love perfect timings. -w-

NiGHTS: Let's see what kind of dream world lies ahead!

(Donna nods and walks over to the door to Nightopia, and opens it, leading herself, Matt, Sophie, Lana and NiGHTS into an urban arcade-like area littered with countless stars, having giant pinball tables and neon-lit paths, giant roulette wheels, and various game machines. tall skyscrapers and buildings can be spotted in the background.)

Lana: woah...look at this place. O.O

Sophie: a dream world that features games? wicked cool!

Donna: well...this is my dream world! it represents my burning passion for games that I have ever since I was a kid! I would come and play in the arcade centers of my home town along with my family. my personal favorite kind of game is pinball. I'd play for hours non-stop until it was lunch time. -w-

Sophie: in all honesty, this place almost reminds me of Casino Park!

(NiGHTS then spots a horde of third level nightmarens coming their way.)

NiGHTS: since they're here, how about we play with these nightmarens and show them what we're made of? -w-

Lana: I certainly am not gonna be bored in this one. -w-

(and so, Donna  dualized with NiGHTS  to protect her dream world from the influence of Nightmare, while Matt remained behind to protect the Nightopians present from the Nightmarens. Lana and Sophie follow NiGHTS and Donna along to take down the third level nightmarens that consisted of Awakers, Gaos, Parties and Verols.

the four flew through the Astro Arcade, passing by buildings and skyscrapers, and paths that were decorated with colorful Neon lights. NiGHTS, as usual, used her paraloops and drill dashes to take out the nightmarens. Lana used her Lunakinetic abilities, along with Sophie, who used her thunder element to help NiGHTS get rid of their foes. NiGHTS turned into a ball to slide through pinball tables, and even put on her persona mask to become a rocket and blow a few remaining nightmarens out of the sky.

then, once all the nightmarens were taken care of, a bright orange light appeared descending down from the night sky that was littered with countless stars above. it was the Orange Ideya of Mercy, which went over to NiGHTS, as she absorbed it into the red gem on her chest.

NiGHTS was surprised to see an orange colored staff with a star on the top appearing in her hands. and then, everything went white for a moment, engulfing NiGHTS, Lana, Donna and Sophie.)

(when everything turned normal, the four found themselves inside a room that consists of oversized toys and instruments of torture in bright primary colors. The entire room is encased in red drapes reminiscent of a circus tent and is littered with toy blocks and blue and green dolls with crazed looks on their faces.  Two notable items in this room are a gigantic purple and yellow star-print jack-in-the-box and an oversized red and yellow guillotine.)

NiGHTS: Ohhh no. I know this place.... -.-

''HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! ''

NiGHTS: ....And that laughter.

(who to enter but Jackle, who appeared from the shadows, flipping his mantle.)

Jackle: Well, well, well! looky what I found here! those traitors, Lana, NiGHTS and their little visitor friends!

NiGHTS: Jackle! I'm not here to waste my time playing your sick games!

Lana: we'll send you back to Wizeman empty handed!

Jackle: oh, how naive you all are. did you know that Master Wizeman has a visitor being held captive since last night?

NiGHTS: What? what are you talking about?

Jackle: why, have you all ever heard of the spooky legend about mirrors? the one that speaks of being dragged to a dark world when one looks into a mirror during a full moon?

Sophie: O.O y-yeah...I have.

Jackle: then you should know, Lythian, your ''friend'' is being held in captivity in Nightmare, by the mirror master, Selph! a poor Brown Hedgehog, who was born into the harsh cruel world, doomed to live the rest of his life with this mental deformity you visitors call ''Autism''!

Sophie: Aaron...?!

Jackle: The very same!

NiGHTS: Quit messing with our minds with your lies! its impossible for visitors to come into the dream world while they're not sleeping!

Lana: he's not lying...!

NiGHTS: Huh?

Lana: I get what he means...during nights when the moon is full, when anyone looks into a mirror, he or she are dragged into the nightmare realm, and both their bodies and souls are trapped in there for all time. and since the nightmare realm is dark, these poor unfortunate victims are subjected to physical and psychological torture, instigated by Selph, a very powerful first level nightmaren that specializes with mirrors. the victims will suffer, until they are either driven to insanity, or die a horrific death. and worst of all, their bodies are never to be found, so in the waking world, they will be branded as missing forever.

Sophie: Woah! are you serious?!

Lana: yes. I've seen it happen countless times before I defected. so many innocent lives were destroyed once they are dragged into nightmare through a mirror. not one soul is spared from the suffering they are subjected to.

Jackle: hehehehehehe! I've always known you were the clever one, Lana! your poor sister would be proud!

Lana: she would...if Selph and Wizeman hadn't taken her away from me!

NiGHTS: Lana... O.O

Jackle: Heh! now that we're done talking... (pulls out his cards, shows off his crazed expression) let's get right to business, shall we?! OWO

(and so the fight begins...

knowing him, Jackle fights by throwing razor-sharp tarot cards that slow NiGHTS, Lana and Sophie down on impact. the three need to remove his cape to make him vulnerable, by evading his cards and dashing into him.

remembering the previous few times, NiGHTS did just that, causing the cape to be removed from Jackle, making him unable to attack.

Once he's lost his cape, he cannot attack and flew to retrieve his cape, before NiGHTS got the chance to damage him by touch-dashing him and hitting him with her Orange Staff.

after taking a few hits, Jackle wears his cape again and takes to the air, throwing cards at his three opponents. the four dodge just in time, before Sophie threw a lightning bolt at Jackle, causing him to lose his cape again, and he flies down to retrieve it. Lana used her crescent bow and arrow to shoot at the cape before Jackle could even reach it. and this was game over for him...NiGHTS held the staff tightly, and performed a star shaped drill dash at the insane second level nightmaren, defeating him.)

Jackle: AAAARGHHH! To think that I'd be bested by visitors and traitorous first level nightmarens!

NiGHTS: It's over, Jackle. you've lost!

Jackle: Rrrghhh... hehehehehehehehe...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

(The four look at Jackle, unnerved by his insane laughter.)

Jackle: did you know? I am just now starting to see why you two left Nightmare.

NiGHTS, Lana: O.O ???

Jackle: Wizeman intended for me to be a first level nightmaren upon my creation, but there was a defect inside of me that only had me a second level nightmaren. and defects are useless to Wizeman...

Lana: what are you talking about?

NiGHTS: What are you trying to say...?

Jackle: the simple truth is...! Master Wizeman, my own creator, sent me here to DIE!!!

NiGHTS, Lana, Donna, Sophie: H-Huh?!

Jackle: after all the previous times, trying to steal the visitors' ideya and bring you two back alive to nightmare, Wizeman told me to stay put until he gives me a new mission...and who would have thought that he'd send me to fight you, so he can dispose of a useless second level nightmaren such as myself?! I spent so many cycles trying to please my master, and THIS is the thanks I get in return!!! hehehehehehehehehehe! I guess in the end, not even the hands that created you and gave you life can be trusted! ^~^ TmT its laughable, really! its so very laughable...!

(the four look at Jackle with sympathy in their eyes...NiGHTS flew over to Jackle, placing her hand on his shoulder, causing him to look up to the purple jester.)

NiGHTS: its a good thing that you finally found out the truth, and woke up to the realization to Wizeman's true nature.

Sophie: yeah, he may be your father, but he's not your daddy. that's for sure.

Jackle: what am I going to do now? Q~Q

NiGHTS: You said that this Aaron guy is being held captive, right? you need to go back and help him in any way you can. since this legend about mirrors is true, I have a bad feeling that Aaron will be suffer greatly...more so than Sonic and Sophie while they were cursed.

Lana: and I know why the nightmarens target Aaron...back in Elliot's dream world, I sensed darkness in his heart. I have a dreadful feeling that this presence I felt was of a Black Ideya of Wrath.

Jackle: A Black Ideya?! you must be joking!

Sophie: what does that mean?

Jackle: the Black Ideya is the most powerful and dangerous of all! this type of Ideya is formed from within the visitors' hearts as result of great amount of negative emotions, mostly anger, due to certain circumstances that trigger this darkness in their hearts! and since Aaron is in possession of a Black Ideya, a curse is growing from within his heart!

Sophie: Aaron is...cursed?

Lana: I'm afraid so. -.- its most likely that Wizeman will manipulate the Black Ideya of Wrath, the darkness in Aaron's heart to go forward with his plan. who knows what suffering he will go through now that he is trapped in the nightmare realm? -.-

NiGHTS: And Jackle...if you can... (whispers to Jackle's ''Ear'')

(Jackle nods)

NiGHTS: please. help him see the truth, as you and I have!

Jackle: It's gonna be difficult, but it'll be worth it! Wizeman must be stopped at any cost!

(and with that, Jackle disappears with his mantle. the Orange Staff vanished from NiGHTS' hands, as the Ideya of Mercy shone its bright light in her chest, spreading its bright orange colored light across the night sky. the Nightopians looked at the bright orange light that had sparkles spread out all over like shooting stars, lighting up the night sky, and cheered, knowing that their home was saved from the terror of Nightmare once again. thus, NiGHTS secured the Orange Ideya of Mercy, and saved Donna's Dream world. and now, with Jackle spared from getting killed, the insane second level has joined NiGHTS to rebel against his creator who had sent him to die because of being deemed as useless.)

(meanwhile, Aaron slowly opens his eyes and sits up. he found himself in what appears to be a dark room.)

Aaron: where...where am I?

''Took you long enough to wake up.''

Aaron: h-huh? who's there?

(the voice chuckled evilly, as Aaron saw a mirror before him, his reflection staring at its owner. and from the shadows, Selph appeared towering over the brown hedgehog.)

Selph: (evilly) welcome to my lair...Aaron the Hedgehog.

NiGHTS, Lana, Donna, Sophie: H-Huh?!

Jackle: after all the previous times, trying to steal the visitors' ideya and bring you two back alive to nightmare, Wizeman told me to stay put until he gives me a new mission...and who would have thought that he'd send me to fight you, so he can dispose of a useless second level nightmaren such as myself?! I spent so many cycles trying to please my master, and THIS is the thanks I get in return!!! hehehehehehehehehehe! I guess in the end, not even the hands that created you and gave you life can be trusted! ^~^ TmT its laughable, really! its so very laughable...!

(the four look at Jackle with sympathy in their eyes...NiGHTS flew over to Jackle, placing her hand on his shoulder, causing him to look up to the purple jester.)

NiGHTS: its a good thing that you finally found out the truth, and woke up to the realization to Wizeman's true nature.

Sophie: yeah, he may be your father, but he's not your daddy. that's for sure.

Jackle: what am I going to do now? Q~Q

NiGHTS: You said that this Aaron guy is being held captive, right? you need to go back and help him in any way you can. since this legend about mirrors is true, I have a bad feeling that Aaron will be suffer greatly...more so than Sonic and Sophie while they were cursed.

Lana: and I know why the nightmarens target Aaron...back in Elliot's dream world, I sensed darkness in his heart. I have a dreadful feeling that this presence I felt was of a Black Ideya of Wrath.

Jackle: A Black Ideya?! you must be joking!

Sophie: what does that mean?

Jackle: the Black Ideya is the most powerful and dangerous of all! this type of Ideya is formed from within the visitors' hearts as result of great amount of negative emotions, mostly anger, due to certain circumstances that trigger this darkness in their hearts! and since Aaron is in possession of a Black Ideya, a curse is growing from within his heart!

Sophie: Aaron is...cursed?

Lana: I'm afraid so. -.- its most likely that Wizeman will manipulate the Black Ideya of Wrath, the darkness in Aaron's heart to go forward with his plan. who knows what suffering he will go through now that he is trapped in the nightmare realm? -.-

NiGHTS: And Jackle...if you can... (whispers to Jackle's ''Ear'')

(Jackle nods)

NiGHTS: please. help him see the truth, as you and I have!

Jackle: It's gonna be difficult, but it'll be worth it! Wizeman must be stopped at any cost!

(and with that, Jackle disappears with his mantle. the Orange Staff vanished from NiGHTS' hands, as the Ideya of Mercy shone its bright light in her chest, spreading its bright orange colored light across the night sky. the Nightopians looked at the bright orange light that had sparkles spread out all over like shooting stars, lighting up the night sky, and cheered, knowing that their home was saved from the terror of Nightmare once again. thus, NiGHTS secured the Orange Ideya of Mercy, and saved Donna's Dream world. and now, with Jackle spared from getting killed, the insane second level has joined NiGHTS to rebel against his creator who had sent him to die because of being deemed as useless.)

(meanwhile, Aaron slowly opens his eyes and sits up. he found himself in what appears to be a dark room.)

Aaron: where...where am I?

''Took you long enough to wake up.''

Aaron: h-huh? who's there?

(the voice chuckled evilly, as Aaron saw a mirror before him, his reflection staring at its owner. and from the shadows, Selph appeared towering over the brown hedgehog.)

Selph: (evilly) welcome to my lair...Aaron the Hedgehog.
