Spyro, Sophie, Sparx and Inferna flew over a mountain, finding themselves above a large field of glowing white-purple crystals, which were sparking and occasionally sending a bolt of pink lightning into the air, fueling a storm that raged on. the further they went into the fields, the more louder and violent the storm became.

Sophie: is this the place?

Sparx: what, the giant evil black building in the middle of crystals exactly where Terrador told us it would be? yep, I'm guessing that's it.

Inferna: (to the trio) Are you nervous?

Sophie: I...well... personally, I am scared to go in there. I don't know what to expect, but I know Everyone is counting on us, since we're the only ones who have the chance to stop Cynder from going through with her plans.

Inferna: feeling the fear and going along to face it anyway...that's the mark of a true warrior. UwU

Sophie: is it? O.O

Inferna: to face one's own fears, all it takes is one great leap of faith. I spent this entire time hiding from my fears, now I am going to face them alongside you.

eventually, as they landed on the surface, they could see a tall black tower pointing towards the sky in the back of the field with multiple large structures surrounding it.

(then we hear Terrador's voice saying the following...)

''Concurrent Skies is built within the storm crystal fields, Cynder’s Lair is where hope goes to die. A dark, foreboding place in which Cynder broods and skulks and plans her next assault. you must make your way to her fortress, where I'm sure Ignitus is being held. though I must warn you, there will be no way of getting in without being seen. you'll need to fight your way in. Cynder will be expecting you once you're inside, and there is no going back until you fail or succeed. ''

The Group started to walk towards the fortress to find a trail through the field of crystals...

Sparx: Next time I say I want to face, Cynder, why don’t you go ahead and punch me in the mouth.

Spyro: No problem. -w-

Sophie: I'm pretty sure I can do that since I have hands.

(SCREEEEEEEEE)

(the four shot their heads up to see the huge shadow of Cynder flying over them and disappear around the gigantic tower.)

Inferna: it seems that a quite bad company is expecting us.

Sophie: Agreed.

(Spyro looked through the trail to see a medium sized ape spot them and run off into the forest of crystals, and soon they start chasing him.)

Sparx: Terrador made it seem this place was uninhabited!

Spyro: What fun would that be? Come on, we’ve got to take them out!

(they caught up with the ape only for a small group of them to jump out at them when they cornered the ape in a clearing next to a small building. The Ape the group was chasing dashed through a nearby gate and had its squad attack.

Spyro easily took care of some with his earth element attacks, Sophie cut a few down with her wind element attacks, and Inferna swung her sword at them, while using her fire elemental attacks.

The Group charged after the ape they encountered chasing him all the way to the door that led into Cynder’s Lair. But two caskets were dropped by Dreadwings flying overhead unleashing a platoon of apes upon them along with more that came from the doors of the fortress. Sophie pulls out the Aether Sword, charging at the apes and taking them down one by one, Inferna shot fireballs and Spyro aided from above using his ice shards, taking down a huge number of apes before they could proceed further.

Once it was safe to enter, Spyro powered up his earth element and shot a green energy sphere to break down the gate.)

Sophie: Hello? anybody home?

Inferna: !!! Sophie get back!

Sophie: Huh? WOAH! (Jumps backwards, away from the door before her)

(the four were met by many apes that came from multiple halls and doorways within to quell the intruders. Spyro and Inferna flew up onto some of the higher platforms to battle the apes above while Sophie fought the ones that were attacking from ground level with her sword.

The Apes continued their assault but the two Lythians and the dragon were proving more than a match for the defenders as the mix of element and sword attacks repelled them as the last ape met its end as the group went out the doorway that led outside at the other end of the building into another clearing.

Once outside they fought through the many trails of crystals fighting against more apes, Dreadwings, and an enemy that seemed to resemble the golems back at Tall Plains. But these ones were different. Instead of stone they were made of the surrounding crystals and cackling purple electricity seemed to hold them together.

Spyro, Sophie and Inferna were halted by them for a moment as the crystal golems were proving formidable. This was until, Spyro figured out a weakness for since they were made entirely of crystal and shattered with enough force he quickly told, Sophie and Inferna used their fire and aether swords with all her might, to shatter them with a few good swings.

The Group continued on and fought through another building and reached the other side. Sparx flew ahead to scout around for them until a whooshing sound could be heard in the distance and was coming in fast. Sophie looked to see Cynder was coming which made her gasp in horror, since Sparx was now right in her path.)

Inferna: O.O !!!

Sophie: SPARX, WATCH OUT! OAO

( Sparx turned to see Cynder was speeding towards him, and he screamed as she flew right past him hitting him with her wing knocking him to the ground and flew away.)

Spyro, Sophie: SPARX! OAO

(The three ran to the dragonfly, with the 12 year old Lythian picking him up in her hand)

Sophie: Are you okay?!

Sparx: (raised his hand weakly) I…can’t talk. Heart…breaking up. =~=

(Spyro rolled his eyes with a smile, glad to see his adoptive brother wasn’t hurt at all.)

Sophie: (raised her hand higher to let Sparx fly) I'm sure you're gonna live, tough bug. -w-

Spyro: Come on. Ignitus is waiting.

(The Group continued on as Sparx tried to shake off his temporary petrifaction from his close encounter with the black dragoness. They encountered more apes, Dreadwings, and golems which they used their powers and skills to deal with until They were caught within a trap that was set for them in one of the clearings where a large sized ape cast electricity from all points of entry to keep them from leaving.

the three fought valiantly against their foes who tried to take them down. from squads of small apes, to avoiding a bombing run from Dreadwings and along with caskets containing more troops.

then, they made their towards another dark building that seemed to reach the dark clouds above. One of the small towers they noticed from when they first landed in front of the dark fortress. They knew now they were getting close to Cynder's castle.

in another one of the small towers, the black sorceress watched as the three made it this far, her robes flowing in the wind as she held her staff.)

Black Sorceress: (smirks evilly underneath her hood) Its almost time... (spreads her dark wings and flies off)

Inferna: !! (Looks behind her)

Sophie: what is it, Inferna?

Inferna: I could have sworn I saw someone just now.

Sparx: its not Cynder, is it?

Inferna: no. but I'm afraid we're being watched. lets keep moving.

(the four carried on forward to the next part of the tower.)

Sophie: yooo, this place gives me shivers down my spine...

Inferna: You know, there is a legend behind the origins of Concurrent Skies, long before Cynder's takeover.

Sophie: Huh?

Inferna: this was once home to the Shadow Dragons. the Shadow Dragons that lived here, had erected these giant looming towers around the mountain, inside each of these towers was a massive crystal. These crystals can be used to amplify the elemental power a dragon puts inside them, before the electric dragons had used them to start up the eternal storm on the mountain the shadow dragons used the towers to shroud the mountain fortress in an impenetrable darkness that would leave anyone who ventures here lost forever. as such, it goes by another name, the City of Shadows, that now serves as Cynder's territory.

Sparx: I still don't like it.

Spyro: Still doesn't matter. Ignitus needs us.

Sparx: I'm not complaining, I'm just saying it would be easier if she was smaller.

(they jumped from tower to tower, taking down every enemy that crossed their paths. as soon as they did, they found themselves in another storm-crystal field where more enemies awaited them. they took them out one after another, with their elemental attacks, but more were still coming at them. at this point, Sparx had a brilliant idea for Sophie as soon as he saw her cornered.)

Sparx: Hey! doesn't water conduct electricity?

Sophie: there's no water around here!

Sparx: (as he sees her using her water element) well, now I do!

Sophie: what are you- Ohhhhhh...Sparx, you're one heck of a genius! Spyro, Inferna, get back! I got the craziest idea you'll ever see!

(the young Lythian created a small sized flood of water, which swept over the apes but it didn't bother them too much. Sophie then jumped onto a platform, using her lightning element to electrify the water, zapping all the apes within the water to death as they twitched wildly before falling limp.)

Inferna: well now. this saved us quite the trouble. -w-

(then they proceeded to the main gate of the fortress, pushing them open.)

Sophie: Cynder must be at the top.

Inferna: and so is Ignitus. lets brace ourselves for what comes next. (looks up at the fortress, thinking) hang on, old friend. we are coming.
