in this scene, Sophie fights a powerful Metarex known as the Exiled, and with a powerful beam from his helmet, he shatters the gemstone on Sophie's chest, causing her to lose her Knight form.

this is where the story starts to get a lot more serious, just like in STH: COTD.

also, inspired by a few certain scenes in Symphogear GX where the wielders are defeated by the Autoscorers by having their pendants shattered, causing them to lose their transformed states.
