This is a beautiful picture, the colors and positioning project an emotion that's rather warm. The paper is cute by the way! The only criticism I can see is the focus. It's clearer on the right wing rather than more on the face or toward the middle of the bird. But I just love that paper!! I'm not sure I agree with a.deviantart.net/avatars/m/e/m… " alt=" " title="Meep-and-Mushrat" /> , I think the paper WOULD be "too busy" if it weren't for the lighting reflecting against the back of the crane showing through the paper and tying the colors in with the background, leaving the little fish to pop and bring the attention to the bird and not the background.

I think overall this is a well done peice. Attention to putting certain elements out of focus while other things remined crisp was appreciated and needed. Felt that the detail on the origami piece (the design and pattern) was too busy compared to the background, which had some different colors and shapes happening. I think using a pattern that could have complemented the background better would have make this artwork stand out more, and impacted the viewer.
Overall, it's still a nice peice to look at. I wonder what it would look like with diffeent color filters? And perhaps playing with the composition could add a nice touch. <3

This mesmerizes me in some way... But it's too late into the night to start figuring out why - ahaha.
But oh well, this really had me. I usually love the light blue/ deep red combination... It has something celestial about it. But still not pure or naive, maybe sin purified? The yin and yang of sin/pleasure. Ahah.

Guess this is my cue. Sorry for the... ramble. (:
