I like how the background adds focus to the main subject (Cutter, obviously) without taking anything away from him. It adds to the sharp focus and the features of his face and his stance. I really enjoy the green tones mixed in, which is a good relief for all the browns and beige, and the highlighting of the vest makes it so it isn't lost in the dark background. His hair looks like it was a challenge, and I like how you can see the individual stitches in the vest and the patches on his pants.

I thought about adding more variance in the background contrast but I really didn't want to detract from the subject. I really wanted Cutter to pop so I tried to keep background subtle.
