Description
this one was mostly just an excercise in trying to learn how to handle paint; a mainly monochromatic palette so i didn't have to worry too much about the colour. Oil on canvas....if it does allude to anything, maybe the months between junior college and college i spent learning card tricks to entertain my cousins.
it always seemed absurd that they would work; once you knew the sleight of hands involved, you couldn't quite believe anyone would fall for it

Love the expression and texture of the subject's face (you I suspect?) and the effects on the top and bottom of the triptych. Lovely work c:
