Description
My first Flash game. Beat 'em up along the lines of Streets of Rage. Have fun!Any comments or suggestions would be helpful.

This is an excellent game, I can only imagine the script. Very well done! If i had to criticise, i would have to say the art work is a bit dodgy at times, but this is very good none the less. I am making my game, and this has just re inspired me to keep on going.

I am an enormas fan of this type of game genre. Streets of Rage 1, 2 and even 3 are some of my most fav games ever!!! The thrill of smashing an enemies head in with a iron pole, baseball bat or stabbing them with a knife or smashing their head open with a bottle and a whole lot more to come on at ya!!!!
This game is a fav of mine since I first played it on Newgrounds.com. I love it and have completed it so many times and I still come back for more!!!!

so far i like the game. i am hoping for better music in the full version because the current music is pretty boring. i also hope the character will be able to duck because i dont know how to avoid somes punches then

Wow !!! The flash game called "Thugjagger" is wonderful !!! IS MY BEST GAME OF FLASH !!! Is fantastic. I can play it once and another time

now that I have beat it, I have a few questions and comments.
1) Did you create that bg music loop? It's sooo catchy.
2) More lives. 9 sounds fair, but I beat the game with 3 left. Perhaps making like x points = a new life.
3) WEAPONS. The guys should throw weapons and such too.
other than that, this game is AMAZING.

1. Yeah, we made the music loop. Glad you like it, since a lot of people don't.
2. The amount of lives is fine for now. It's a demo and I didn't want to make it too hard for people to get into it. Believe it or not, some people still can't even beat the first level.
3. Weapons will be in the final version. We've been workin on it.
We're going to be revising a lot of the gameplay based on the suggestions we received on Newgrounds. A lot of the comments are worthless, but I've got a better idea of what people actually want now.
It would be nice if people spread the word about the game since my promotion campaign had been pretty weak so far, haha. Even with this game I'm still not very popular on this site.

I'm surprised that you haven't got more comments for this, especially since it is an actual game, not like the dressup games and other shit people upload.
This is a great game! Solid coding and gameplay, which I find impressive! In a later version, you might want to try a tile-based background (even if you still use vector graphics) so that you don't have to use a repeating background. But in this version you took what worked and packaged and presented it really well, so the repeating background didn't bother me. And you managed to keep a good framerate, which isn't easy with flash. Great work!

thats one hella of a game dude. even the cutscenes look great. the animations looks awesome too. the music gets a little repetitive but its not that bad with all the sound effects and all. i can see a lot of detail when into it, the transparent foreground objects are a great touch. very nice work dude keep it up.
