haha yeah. I don't really care who's pared with who but my fantasizing about Spock and Uhura is mostly because of what they did in the new movie. :\

There was some chemistry, in a 2008 interview Nichols stated
"I created a relationship between Uhura and Spock as being her mentor and the person she looked up to. Uhura was the only one who could play the Vulcan lyre and the only one who had the audacity to sing a song teasing Spock."

But there were a few other problems going onβ¦ the series only ran for 3 seasons with too much focus on Kirk, Bones and Spock and the fact that CBS wasnβt going show a white man with a black woman being together in anyway

They did have some chemistry in the original series you should check out Spock/Uhura moments on youtube. And I love the couple from the movie as well. This is a nice piece.
