I was wondering why there is more white in my recent paintings, and I think it's a kind of therapy to exorcise my fear of death, of losing someone I love, of body's disappearrance...

Chinese ink and wash painting has much white- the blank.I like it much, to leave space for the viewers to think and which obeys the yin-yang.

Very interesting. Do you mean that you covered over several portraits? Are there portions of the layers underneath that are showing through?

for the first one there was a blonde girl tattooed on her arm with the background with flowers, after I covered with gesso the girl (gesso is my best friend

I thought that you were meaning to be reserved.
I've been taking gesso and laying it down over parts of my paintings recently. I saw Pollock's The Deep and wanted to try it. It's like negating the painting, really interesting.
