ok, made this in under 48 hours for the RPGDX 48 hour RPG making jamthe theme was 'LOFI' which I interpreted in the gameplay, I tried to include the bare minimum for an RPG and this is what came out of it.
I originally wanted to make a more traditional rpg but once I got this in my head it was too fun not to do, though I dont really think its too fun to play, but maybe some people will like it, I dont know
oh, and before anyone asks the 3D in this flash is powered by papervision.

I sort of like how at the last dot you can just keep running forward, but you don't get your health back, you just sort of crumple up and die.

also entertaining is how you thought I'd hand over the source to a game I care about for such a small amount of money.

At a point, go forward and backwards at the same point or at the beginning hold the left button.

My brother showed this to me.
It really does touch on most of the classic RPG cliches, and was a short, but enjoyable experience.
Best of all, no long unskippable cutscenes!

It's certainly a clever twist on the game, but maybe some music on it would be nice, or a little sound effect when you level up, that sort of thing.

I was able to do it by walking back and forth across the nearest dot as I read the story. I never stopped moving the entire game.
