anyhow, this is how I do my emote shading pretty much.
buttons are at the bottom of the screen

Thats it? Man, I was expecting....err...like a 255 page, 8 font, corner to corner instruction manual.
And....its not in Photoshop, I'm offended!

I don't like gradients, they make the file size larger :[ I rather shade it the old fashioned way.

yeah, but when I optimize it, my computer picks the crappiest colors, so I rather pick a limited amount of colors myself

iono, i always edit my palette after optimizing.. and i never use computer dithering, 'cuz it sucks.. but, still, it looks good.. i think..

photoshop is cool, but I hate doing pixel art in it, mostly because the pencil tool doesent draw when you click, it draws when you drag. and I like to dot a lot, so thats why I prefer fw

amen to that ^^ I mostly need photoshop for my scanned/soon-to-be scanned pictures, because it's hard for a 10-year old actually doing digital art on a mouse on Paint MS. Paint MS is good, but I can't really draw to my full desire with it.
