Description
One of those pieces I planned in my mind for more than a month until noticing toward the finish line that I have no idea how to... well, finish it. Wasn't sure which colors would compliment the crowd in the foreground (preliminary color guides, hello?) and whatever. At one point, there was this real ice cream color scheme to the background that wasn't even half-bad but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. Also, Chalmers's sleeves were starting to dominate the composition way too much when they were in shadow so that had to change. Man, was that tedious.I know you can't see all those alterations I made (and I probably shouldn't let you in on this), but this piece has been under the knife so much I'm pretty sure it qualifies as a plastic surgery patient.
Watercolor and ink, A3.
See the pencil sketch here. You can even see a cropping option I had for myself there.
And inked version here.

This reminds me of a movie about a tractorΒ thatΒ had to speed around the school, keeping its speed over fifty, and if its speed dropped, it would explode! I think it was called "The Tractor That Couldn't Slow Down".

Their expressions make me laugh, especially Principal Skinner.
Nice realistic version of The Simpsons.
