Got my Stocking wig about a week ago! I found it on ebay and snagged it right away because I know this cosplay is in high demand right now. I'm not sure when I'm actually going to be able to wear this, since my last year at college is soaking up all my free time >3< Also, because I'm a short person, the wig goes all the way down to my ankles, no lie. Talk about accuracy x'DRegardless, Stocking cosplay is going to happen in the future! I'm going to make sure of it!

Haha yeah, it is short. I didn't drink a lot of milk or eat tons of veggies when I was younger, so that's probably some other contributing factors. Short people ftw~!

You should make sure to use some Motions Oil Sheen on it...it'll help keep the wig from tangling

I actually found it in my local CVS. I am sure you could find it in a drug store, but barring that, and ethnic haircare store should have it.

Um definitely. It's mostly intended for weaves and wigs that women wear on a regular bases (read: every day).
Plus, synthetic fibers are plastic. Beyond exposing it to heat to change the chemical makeup of the strands, there's not a lot you can put on a wig that'll really damage it. You can bleach wig fibers and have zero reaction. xD

Oh okay, I wasn't sure if it was a regular hair product or for synthetic fibers, because a product for normal hair would obviously not work on a wig, which is the problem I was having in terms of finding the right product to use xD

Lol well some hair products *do* work on wigs. It depends on the product. You need to mostly find a product that works within its own chemical control, rather than one that uses the oils within the hair follicles. You can always check out cosplay.com to search for hints and tips, people usually try things out there all the time :3
Just make sure that, first, you fingercomb the wig completely. Make sure there are no tangles or anything. Set the wig up somewhere it can hang free and won't be brushed, bothered or touched for at least 8-24 hours. You might want to lay down newspaper if there is overspray. I taped my wig head to the top of my cabinet, and taped newspaper under and around the length of the wig. Spray it liberally, and then leave it. I left mine for 24 hours or so. You can brush it out again, and then it'll be good to wear ^^ Just don't go out into crazy wind or roll it up into a bundle/plastic bag or something and it'll be good 8D
