About time I drew some non-crossover ponies again, even though this is technically still for my crossover-fanfiction; I needed character-profile pictures for the german version of it.I sometimes get to ride horses in real life, and I actually quite enjoy drawing tack on horses/ponies. Given how often I've used that stuff, you'd think I'd know where all the parts go when I'm drawing them... thing is, I drew faster than I thought again and messed up, ven though the differences between english and western tack aren't that big. I'll get the stupif harness right next time.
For now, enjoy Spike and Big Macintosh in their little competition. The rules are simple: if Spike can hold himself in the saddle for a certain minimum time, he wins, if he falls of, Big Macintosh wins.
I think the CMC are still colecting bets to fund their experiments with.

Big Mac- you feeling alright?
Spike- hold on... just a sec... *burps out a letter*
*Spike opens it and reads aloud*
Spike- "Dear Spike; With Twilight and her friends missing for the past 2 weeks on their mission, I fear the worst may have happened. But I have a Contingency Plan. If you and the older brother of Applejack could make your way to Canterlot, I have a few allies to help you save Equestria, and hopefully your friends as well. Sincerely, Princess Celestia."
*Spike rolls the letter back up*
Spike- you up for a trip to Canterlot?
Big Mac- if it means saving my sister, then ah'll do anything.

They ride for a couple of hours… until they find the train station.
Spike takes out a jewel he was saving for lunch, and uses it to pay for train tickets.
They arrive at Canterlot a few hours later.

Spike- *as they get off the train* well Big Mac, welcome to my home town!
Big Mac- *looks around* seems more like a GHOST town to me...
*Spike looks around as well and the streets are completely bare*
Spike- huh... where is every-pony? This is usually the busiest time of day!
*Spike shakes his head and focuses*
Spike- you know what, this doesn't matter right now. We should just head to Princess Celestia's castle.
Big Mac- E-yup.
*Spike runs ahead*
Spike- C'mon, I'll show you the way.
Big Mac- E-yup! *runs to catch up*
*Instantly, Spike and Big Mac are transported thru Celestia's magic*
Big Mac- *in a daze* Woah...
Spike- Ugh... you get used to it...
*Celestia and Luna approach*
Celestia- Spike, Big Macintosh, thank heavens you finally made it here.
Spike- anything for you Princesses. Oh, where are my manners?
*both Spike and Big Mac bow*
Luna- we have no time for these formalities you two. Come with us, quick.
*Spike and Big Mac follow Celestia and Luna thru the halls of the castle*
Spike- say, what was going on here? Everypony's gone. It's really strange.
Big Mac- E-yup.
Luna- With the mane 6 being gone, we advised the citizens of Canterlot to stay inside for the time being until we are assured that Equestria is safe.
Celestia- We know not what great evil they may be facing, but it must be dire. Even Discord himself is in fear of it.
Spike- seriously?!
Luna- yes, and it seems to be draining his power. He can barely stand.
Celestia- If it is also keeping the Twilight and her friends from returning, we felt the best idea would be to use the Contingency Plan we created years ago.
Spike- Yeah, what is that anyway?
*they finally come upon the throne room*
Celestia- plain and simple, it is our 'Plan B'. While we usually rely upon Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash as a team for any problem that arises, we have a second team we've been saving, which you 2 are a part of.
*Big Mac looks amazed*
Spike- really?
Luna- of course.
Spike- how come you never told us?
Celestia- We were waiting until the right situation, but it's to late to wait anymore. It needs to be enacted now. *Celestia turns* Luna, if you will.
Luna- of course, sister. *Luna opens an entryway door and speaks to all who are behind it* You may enter now.
*Luna moves and a figure in a poncho and a black cowboy hat that hides his face enters*
the hidden figure- greetings. It's good to see you 2 again.
Spike- *squints* Cheese Sandwich, is that you?
*Cheese takes off his hat with a smile upon his face*
Cheese Sandwich- knew you'd be able to guess it! But that's not all!
*A taller figure on two legs enters; Iron Will*
Iron Will- Iron Will's the name, saving Equestria's my new game! *poses with a smile and give a thumbs up*
*Cheese puts a hoof to the side of his face*

Spike- no clue. We think he's just crazy.

Iron Will- *angrily* HEY! *snorts in anger, but then composes himself* Look, the princess of Equestria asked Iron Will, as well as others, such as this strange bipolar pony party planner, to help locate their team.
Cheese Sandwich- Hey!
Spike- Look, dude... Cheese we're fine with.
Big Mac- E-yup!

Spike- *to Iron Will* But... you're kind of a bully.

Iron Will- Iron Will is nothing of the sort! Iron Will merely instructs other on how to be assertive! *flexes and poses* And if Equestria is in Danger, then Iron Will is here to save it!
Spike- *sighs, rubbing his temples* Fine. Just stop talking about yourself in the third person and you're in.

*another enters the room; Gilda*
Spike- *to the princesses* seriously? Do you KNOW how much of a jerk this Griffon is?
Gilda- look, I... I know that I left off on very bad terms but.... Rainbow Dash is my friend... and if she's missing I want to help find her. I want to at least have a chance to apologize... before it's to late.
*Spike and Big Mac glance at each other*
Spike- we probably have no choice, huh?
Big Mac- *nods* E-yup.
Spike- *sighs* fine, Gilda, you're in.
Spike- *to the princesses* So, is this every-one?
Celestia- no, there are 2 more.
*2 more enter the room; Shining Armor and Maud Pie*

Celestia - Indeed, Maud. We'll need you all.
Luna- Yes. The Elements of Harmony are missing and probably in danger… and it's possible they're the only ones who can save Equestria...
Celestia *at the team* And it's possible you're the only ones who can save them.

*Celestia hands him a map*
Celestia- this is the last known location of Twilight and her friends. You'll have to find them on your own from there.
*Spike opens the map*
Spike- woah... that's a long way from here.
Gilda- *glances at the map* Like heck it is! I could get there in an hour, tops!
SA- Gilda, the rest of us cannot fly. As a team, it is best that we all stick together. We need to find a better mode of transport.
Cheese Sandwich- OH! I have a way!
*they leave the castle and Cheese Sandwich shows them*
Cheese Sandwich- I give you... the Cheese Sandwich wonder-hamster powered multi-carriage!
*a giant, 6-seat carriage with a huge hamster ball attached to the front is shown*
Spike- where'd you get this?
Gilda- more importantly, why the heck do you have it?
Cheese Sandwich- I used to have a pet hamster.
Shining Armor- THIS big?!
Cheese Sandwich- yes, Harvey the Wonder hamster, may he rest in peace. This carriage used to be all the rage at my parties until Harvey passed on. I believe it could seat us all, but we need a strong mode of transport to power it.
*all eyes fall on Iron Will*

Maud is already inside.
Maud - Go ahead. I'm ready.
IW- Hey, they need a strong one to do this!!! *tries taking Maud out* It would be either Big Mac or myself, not...
IW can't move her. Not even an inch. Maud isn't resisting at all.
IW- Uh… okay, you can do it then.
The others grin and get inside the carriage.

Gilda- no offense guys, but it's kinda cramped in here... I'm gonna fly ahead and give us some aerial coverage.
SA- alright, but don't get to far; we need to stick together as a team.
Gilda- I know, I know...
*gets out and flies ahead*
*they continue on for a few hours until the come across a steep mountain with a narrow trail*
Cheese- woah... this carriage can't handle a path like that.
SA- then I guess we'll have to continue on hoof. Grab what you can every-pony. This journey is FAR from over.
Spike- actually, it might end at the top *shows the map* That's where the team was last seen...
*Gilda flies down and lands near the carriage*
Gilda- then what're we waiting for? Let's get to the top!

SA *nods* Okay, Gilda, you take Spike with you while the rest of us follow you. If things go bad, you two can provide us with both aerial coverage and fire power.
Spike- Nice… like a flying dragon. *grins*

Maud- best to be cautionary though. By the look of this mountain, there seems to be many formations of rocks the size of boulders.
IW- so?
Maud- if we disturb the formations, it could cause an avalanche of boulders to fall on us.
CS- yeah, that would hurt... and I don't think I have enough rubber chickens to cushion the blow.
SA- at least we have a clean path to follow.
Maud- yes, about that, this path seems to be freshly made, as if chiseled from the mountain. By my calculations it is exactly 2 weeks old.
CS- that's when the Mane 6 disappeared...
Big Mac- E-yup.
*up in the air*
Spike- Gilda, I think you're flying to high...
Gilda- We're fine. Griffons like me are far-sighted, so I have to stay in the air to get a good view. Speaking of which... do you see what I see? *points at the ground*
Spike- a... a change-ling? oh no...

Spike- Hold on. *takes out a piece of paper, writes on it, and then flames the paper* There. I just sent a message to our friends.
The rest of the group receives the message, telling them there's a changeling coming.

Spike- I can send them to anypony, I just gotta have a clear thought in my mind on who it goes to.
SA- a changeling, huh? If it's only one we'll have it covered.
IW- of course, Iron Will has faced many changeling's before and they all ended up the same way; in a body cast!
Maud- you've never even faced one before, have you?
IW- uh... yeah... but have YOU?!
Maud- no, but I got an idea on how to defeat this one. *writes and X on the side of the mountain wall near them* Big Mac, kicks this section, will you?
Big Mac- E-yup. *bucks it with his back legs*
*A load of boulders comes tumbling down as the changeling tries to attack, knocking the creature away*
SA- alright, that's one objective clear, but I fear that may be the only one... and their leader may be here. *shivers*
CS- you okay man?
SA- actually, no...
CS- what's wrong?
SA- *sighs* my beloved wife Cadence had been captured and Queen Chrysalis took her place. I would've nearly married her.
CS- ew... creepy...
IW- so you believe the enemy we are facing may be Chrysalis?
SA- it could be. Let's just hope it is the only one...
*the entire group finally makes it to the top of the mountain*
Maud- *studying the map* judging by the terrain, the exact spot where our family and friends disappeared is right... *looks up* here.
*they all see a door attached to the mountain, a diamond atop the doorway and surrounded by crystals*
IW- well, no need to be formal... let's knock it down!
Spike- wait... I've seen that door before...
SA- what was that Spike?
Spike- EVERYONE! COVER YOUR EYES!
CS- what?
Spike- JUST DO IT!
Everyone does so... except for Big Mac, who kicks the door open, seeing nothing but a wall*
Bic Mac- what the... *his eyes begin to glow green* AJ? Is that you? *gasps* NO! NO! AJ, it wasn't my fault! No please, don't go! I'm sorry! Please! Come back!
*Spike runs up and slams the door closed*
Spike- King Sombra's dark magic. This is a doorway to your worst fear.
Gilda- how do you know?
Spike- I've seen it before... I've lived thru it before. It's not a good experience. I'm sure Big Mac can vouch for me.
Big Mac- *shaking* E... E... E-yup. *gulps*
SA- then there's only one way past this. *his horn begins to glow and a ray from it hits the diamond atop the door, and a light covers the door, re-opening it and the wall disappears, showing a well carved cave*
SA- let's continue on.
*they all go in, not noticing that Big Mac is still behind them, except for Spike*
Spike- hey, it's OK. It wasn't real.
*Big Mac's still shaking*
Spike- it felt like it was though, huh?
Big Mac- ...E-yup.
Spike- do you need to say what it was?
Big Mac- ...Nnope.
Spike- alright. Let's just keep going, okay?

*they all continue inwards and come along an empty room, chained to the wall though, is Discord, looking old and withered*
*Discord looks up weakly and see's the group*
Discord- save... yourselves... *coughs*

Maud and Spike bite through the chains, breaking them with ease.

Discord- Chrysalis and Sombra... teamed up... they used those chains to drain my power. I'm completely powerless now, I can barely move. You have to leave! Save Yourselves!
SA- we're not leaving without saving my sister and her friends!

Iron Will- and now you're part of the rescue mission!
*Iron Will lifts Discord and drapes him over his shoulders like a snake*
Discord- thru there... you can find them. *points at a door*
*Big Mac kicks it and it collapses open*
*inside is a large room, the Mane 6 trapped in glowing yellow orbs just big enough to stand in*
Twilight- guys... look!
Pinkie Pie- Maud!
Maud- don't worry sis, I'm gonna get you outta there!
Pinkie- wait, don't it's...!
*Maud kicks the orb Pinkie's Trapped in, but it zaps her so hard, she gets slammed into the wall.
Pinkie- ...electrified.
Maud- ow...
Cheese- electrified, huh? I think I got something that could help.
*looks thru his bag and pulls out two rubber chickens, putting them on his back hooves and kicks Rainbow Dashes orb, to no effect*
RD- I don't think that's gonna work... *looks away and notices Gilda* Gilda?! What're you doing here?!
Gilda- we were sent by Celestia as a team to save you guys.
Rarity- that doesn't explain why that MONSTER is here with you! *indicates Iron Will*
Fluttershy- he's not a monster; he's a minotaur.
Twilight- Shining, you guys can't stay here for long, you gotta leave.
SA- not without you and your friends Twily!
Big Mac- We were sent to save y'all, and we ain't leaving without finishing this job!
Applejack- it don't matter what you promised Big Mac; It isn't safe here for y'all! Chrysalis and Sombra could be back at anytime now.
Spike- then we need to bust you all out of here before they're back!
*Spike digs into Twilights orb, able to resist the electricity and manages to burst thru, popping it like a bubble.*
Twilight- way to go Spike! 1 down, 5 to go!
*they all begin to hear maniacal laughing*
Deep voice- ...to late!
High Pitched voice- ...the day of reckoning has come!

*Right when he finishes the last one around Rainbow Dash, Shining Armors force field is shattered as they are all blow back by the blow*
*Chrysalis and Sombra appear*
Sombra- so, my little weaklings, you are now freed...
Chrysalis- to bad you will not get a chance to relish this freedom...
both- Equestria shall be OURS!
*the Mane 6 are in a daze from the blast, but the others are still conscious*
Spike- not if WE have anything to say about it!
*both Chrysalis and Sombra laugh mockingly*
Chrysalis- and what shall YOU do, as if you could do anything?

CS throws a massive party right there, with the help of the 'reserve team'. This distracts and puzzles the villains, and by the time they react, the Mane 6 are ready to fight back.

Cheese- oh yeah!
Chrysalis- this is a waste of time! Change-ling's ATTACK!
*a swarm of Change-lings are summoned*
Twilight- just like last time girls; divide and conquer!
Rainbow Dash- good thing we got some awesome back-up this time!
Spike- we may not look like much; but we can fight back too!
*All of the Change-ling's begin to transform and attack*
*Gilda let's out a monstrous roar, blasting most of the change-ling's back*
*Iron Will lifts two in his hands and smashes them together into the shape of a ball, then rolls them into a 10 others, knocking them over like bowling pins*
IW- OH YEAH! STEE-RIKE!
Rainbow Dash- one of those was me you idiot!
IW- oops...
*a few of them surround Big Mac and Applejack, hissing*
*Big Mac looks at AJ and they just shake their heads*
Big Mac and AJ- Nnope...
*They begins to buck them throughout the chambers*
*A swarm of change-ling's go for Maude, but Pinkie blasts them back with her party cannon*
*Pinkie then lifts Maud up*
Maud- Pinkie, it's me!
Pinkie- I know, you didn't look afraid. You never look afraid... or happy, or sad, or angry, or anything else.
Maud- then what're you doing?
*Pinkie points up at the stalactites*
Pinkie- remember that one trick mom and dad showed us that one summer when we were fillies?
Maud- I get it, sis!
*Pinkie throws Maud up onto the ceiling and she begins knocking the stalactites off, knocking out change-lings as they fall on them*
*Fluttershy tries to sneak out in the midst of battle until she see's the weakened Discord surrounded by Change-ling's*
Discord- please... have mercy...
*Fluttershy dives in and knocks them all back.
Fluttershy- NOPONY HURTS MY FRIEND!
*Cheese maintains a perfect smile as one of the Change-ling's keeps transforming in front of him*
Cheese- DO ME! DO ME!
*The Change-ling rolls it's eyes and transforms to look like him*
Cheese- eh... I've seen better...
*he takes a few banana peels out of his pouch and throws them around the room, causing Change-ling's to slip and fall*
*Rarity knocks Change-ling's back, but they begin crowding her and over-power her*
*Spike blasts a flame at them, causing them to flee as they try to put out the flames*
Rarity- how'd you know it was me, Spikey?
Spike- your beauty stands out from the other fakes...
*As the swarm begins to Dwindle, Twilight and Shining Armor combine their magic to defeat their camouflage and exposing them*
*they all flee in fear*
Twilight- looks like it's down to just 2 guys!
Shining Armor- everyone together!
*both teams band together*
Sombra- you forget we both still hold Discord's power!
*he tries to summon a monster, but nothing happens*
Discord- *draped over Iron Will's back* you can't... do anything... you have no fingers to snap!
Sombra- uh...
Chrysalis- ...oh

The heroes start pummeling the villains until they finally manage to restrain them long enough for Twilight to perform a spell that gives Discord his powers back.
Discord *re-energized* OOOOOOH, YES!!!! *transforms into Terminator* I am back!!! *normal self* Now… what should I do with these two guys? *smirks at KS and Chrysalis* Oh, and by the way, next time you steal my power, try giving it to Chrysalis; she can morph into a creature with fingers.
Chrysalis and KS groan and face-hoof.
Discord- Oh, well, it's not as if you'll still have powers after this. *disappears their horns, eliminating their powers for good*

Sombra- We will have our revenge!
Discord- shut up you 2! *snaps his fingers and their lips are zipped shut*
Twilight- I can't believe you all came to rescue us!
Shining Armor- I'd travel to the ends of Equestria for you Twily.
Twilight- but how were you all able to work together? I mean... *eyes Iron Will and Gilda* not many of you are team players.
Spike- It was all part of Celestia and Luna's contingency plan. With the weight of the situation, we knew we had to do something, no matter how unlikely of a team we were.
Rarity- Well, you were very brave Spike. You're a hero... my hero. *kisses him on the cheek, causing him to pass out*
RD- So... Gilda... you know that just because you saved us from Equestria's 2 most dangerous enemies, it doesn't make up for how you treated my friends and I, right?
Gilda- I know Dash. And I'm sorry. When I thought about what happened to you, I didn't even know if you were still alive. I knew I had to do something.
RD- aw... come here old pal. *puts her hoof over Gilda*
Applejack- Big Mac, it took real guts to come here and rescue us. But ah knew ya had it in ya.
*they hug*
Fluttershy- wait, if Big Mac is here... who's looking after Apple-bloom back home?
Applejack- I'm sure Granny Smith's got it covered.
Fluttershy- but...
Applejack- look Fluttershy, Granny may not seem like much, but she's been 'round the block a few times. She'll have it covered.
Big Mac- e-yup.
Fluttershy- well um... okay, that's fine... *looks back up at Big Mac* uh, but, um...
Big Mac- E-yup?
Fluttershy- nevermind... *slowly backs away*
Applejack- oh, for land's sakes!
*pushes Fluttershy towards Big Mac*
Applejack- go ahead you 2...
*Fluttershy summons all her will-power and kisses Big Mac, who kisses her back*
Pinkie- Maud... that was AWESOME! I can't believe you came this whole way for me!
Maud- I had to. I Pinkie Promised; if anything ever happened to you, I'd go to Tartarus and back for you. And No-pony breaks a Pinkie Promise.
Pinkie- aw, who's got the best big sis in the whole wide world?
Maud- You?
Pinkie Pie- totally! *tackles Gilda and hugs her*
Cheese Sandwich- uh-oh... I just realized something...
Iron Will- what's that?
- Well... we're a LONG way from Canterlot... and my carriage can only fit 6 of us.
Discord- I got that covered! *snaps his fingers*
*a hole appears in the cave chambers and train on tracks appears*
*Discord is wearing a conductor's outfit*
Discord- ALLLLLLL ABOARD!
*they all load Chrysalis and Sombra (who's mouths are still zipped shut) in the back, which is fashioned like a jail, cell, and the rest all sit in the connected apartments*
Discord- fasten your seat-belts every-pony, as it is only fair for me to tell you... I have no clue what I'm doing on this thing!
Fluttershy- Discord...
Discord- oh, fine, I'll set it on auto-pilot. *flips a switch* Next stop, Canterlot! *pulls a cord and the train whistles*
~the next day, in Canterlot, everyone is gathered in the royal chambers. Luna and Celestia are on their thrones, not only to honor the Mane 6, but the team who rescued them...~

Celestia- thank you Luna. *turns to the crowd* Every-pony, we are gathered here today, not only to honor our 6 main heroes, but also those whom stepped in during their hour of need to save them and all of Equestria. If they would please come forward.
*Iron Will, Spike, Big Mac, Maud, Cheese Sandwich, Shining Armor, and Gilda all step forward*
Celestia- these 7 brave heroes saved the multi-saviors of Equestria, and our now regarded as knights of Canterlot.
*Luna levitates a case forward and Celestia opens it, revealing medals*
*the 7 heroes bow before Celestia as she begins to put it over their necks*
Celestia- Iron Will the Minotaur.
*Iron Will stand and poses*
Iron Will- Satisfaction guaranteed!

*Big Mac stands with the others, hearing his family cheering louder than the others as the entire Apple Family makes up a majority of the crowd*
Celestia- Captain Shining Armor.
*Shining smiles and stands with the others, Twilight and his parents cheering for him, Cadence blowing a kiss towards him*

*Cheese stands and smiles as he stands with the others, everyone waving rubber chickens in his honor*
Celestia- and last, but never least; Prince Spike.
*Celestia levitates the last medal over his neck*

Discord- Because I disobeyed orders; Celestia and Luna told me not to try and save the 6 of you, as that is what Chrysalis and Sombra wanted.

Discord- Chrysalis and Sombra knew I would show up to try and save the day. That's why they were able to capture me and drain my power. Luna and Celestia suspected they were and wanted me to stay safe. The last thing they needed was more power.

Iron Will- well that's where us 'Canterlot Knights' came in!

Cheese- I think some of us will, but not me; I'm a super-duper party pony first and a hero second. I don't need a title to feel better about myself.
Spike- same here. Just like I say with my nobility; I'm Twilight's assistant first and a prince second. I guess that counts with being a hero, too.
Maud- I'd rather just stick by my original title in my field of work. Big Mac probably feels the same.

Shining Armor- I'm already captain of the royal guard and prince of the Crystal Empire. I don't need to be identified by another title on top of all that. The way I see it, the only ones who're gonna go all gung-ho with these titles are Gilda and Iron Will here.
Gilda and Iron Will- hey!

Gilda- well, yeah...
Fluttershy- look, the way I see it Discord, is that just because you fell for some trick doesn't mean you should feel so bad about yourself.

Gilda- dude, we were all afraid, we just didn't show it.
Maud- not to mention we all had our own reasons for helping.
