I mean, I remember that it was 2-d for a reason. The way to die was get hurt by an enemy, or fall off the area map. In these 3-d ones, it's way easier to go and fall.

Well, I guess the disappointment with Lopunny rests more on how some of the fans treat it. It's so often seen as some kind of sex object despite being a Pokemon... But then they come out with Mega Lopunny, and it has ripped leggings, and it's just... It feels like the designers were practically pandering to that section of the fanbase, you know? It just felt wrong.
